Chapter 53 - Aren't we friends, eh?

Lexi's brows slightly raised seeing what Ethan was doing to the tip of her hair. Though she didn't felt extreme discomfort, alas, she wasn't used to it. "Chu chu chu!" Churu like a traffic enforcer gestured Lexi to stop whatever she think of saying or doing. She added, "your main initial task chu -- don't forget~!" Being reminded of her acknowledgement to the system, Lexi stopped the thought of pulling her head so that her hair would leave his fingers. [*TING!* + 5 allure points! You now have 39.6 total allure point!] 'Uh, seducing Ethan is much easier than Morris…' Lexi thought inwardly glancing at the notification of her stats that only her and Churu could see. "Yahooo! Keep it up, chu~!" Of course, unlike Lexi's apathetic attitude, Churu celebrated as she spun like a little ballerina until she flew in the air. As the little adorable dumpling danced with her arms moving upside down alternately, she responded. "Because it was you, chu~!" Indeed, from her observations from Ethan Lu, Churu understood that Lexi doesn't need to try harder like what she had done to gain Morris Liu's attention. However, she still wished for them to be more in an intimate and steamy scene because she's a hardcore shipper. Overall, Ethan Lu was meant to love every detail of Lexi whether it was her flaw or not. He of course, just needed the help of the great little dumpling to push him to cross that strand line between his real feeling masqueraded as friendship. Just then, Ethan stopped fiddling on the tip of her hair and smiled, "We'll I think my dear friend should drive me home." "Huh?" Lexi raised her confused gaze on the blinding smile of the dashing casanova before tilting her head on the side. ------ "I can't believe you really turned me as your driver." Lexi shook her head as she drove towards Ethan Lu's own villa. "Hehe, aren't we friends, eh?" Ethan Lu chuckled on the front passenger seat. Since he has a clean bill of health now, though reluctant, Ethan doesn't want to burden the Yang family anymore despite knowing that they don't mind. As he thanked her parents, they even insisted him to stay for a couple of days to make sure that he was fine alas, he politely rejected as he had a business to take care of. Still, his impression towards mother and father Yang held so much respect than his own parents. "Whatever," Lexi responded as she continued to drive the shameless new friend of hers to his own villa. As they traveled to their destination, Ethan lu suddenly requested, "Can we stop to eat?" "Didn't you just ate before you left our place?" Lexi who was unaware of Ethan's delaying tactics rebutted. "But, I'm hungry…" Ethan Lu frowned like a dejected little kid that was deprived of affection. She side glances at him before she sighed as a sign of defeat. "Okay… but I make sure it's not crowded -- scandals you know." She widens her eyes reminding him that she was still a celebrity with a tainted reputation. In her mind, Ethan Lu might probably had a small restaurant in mind just like the noodle shop he introduced her. After all, the customers there were mostly elderly and doesn't give a damn about the drama in the entertainment industry. "Ah, right." Ethan nodded as he nearly forgot Lexi's current dilemma. Though he doesn't care if his name would be next to her on the internet, or any ambiguous articles would come out, alas, knowing that between them, the person who would receive more criticism was her. Hence, he pondered for a moment as the noodle shop would take an hour to reach; and it would tire her to drive from coast to coast. "Just stop to the next convenient store." Ethan Lu grinned as he finally had an idea of an uncrowded place and most importantly no one would recognize her. Just like what Ethan Lu requested, she stopped the car on the next convenient store they passed by and he shopped to buy instant snacks and noodles alone. When Lexi saw what he bought, her brows arched and somehow she saw a bad premonition from his mischievous smile. Churu who tag along with Ethan and stayed on his broad shoulders giggled as if she knew what he was up to. "Let's go, my friend!" Without waiting for her to speak, Ethan hurried and threw the food on the back seat as if he was trying to hide what he bought. Lexi was rendered speechless by the ambiguous action of Ethan and Churu and only shook her head and proceed to be his driver. 'Why do I feel something is off?' She thought inwardly as Ethan said he knew the perfect place to eat. ---- Looking at the gorgeous private villa owned by Ethan Lu, Lexi gasped in disbelief. "An uncrowded place restaurant where no one could recognize me -- you mean your place?!" Lexi grumbled as she turned her head towards Ethan's bright and harmless countenance. "Yes!" "Perfect, chu~!" Churu cheered as she hopped on Lexi's shoulder and jumped like an excited dumpling. "Come in, come in! Eh, you promised to eat with me." Ethan giddily invited and held her shoulder from behind as he gently pushed her inside his own villa. "When did I said that?"
