Zero was not happy.
His hands were clenched in a tight fist and one could see how pale they had become, indicating how strong the force was.
Kyle patted him on the back, saying, "Calm down. They weren't here to hurt her."
Kyle could see the way the muscles in Zero's jaws were moving, showing that he was clenching his teeth as well.
"She's pregnant," Zero hissed under his breath.
"They didn't know that," Kyle said, "So they wouldn't have known what they were going to do could harm her."
The intruders intention was to knock Lily out with chloroform and then deport her. With chloroform anesthesia, there is an increased risk for pregnant women. They were not planning to just knock her out for a while, but for the entire journey to the plane until it took off.
