While Ice was having a bonding moment with his son, Zero was at home.
Although, he was actually standing outside the door, as he had yet to walk in.
For some reason, he was nervous and hesitant.
No, he knew the reason for it but he was not keen to face it.
The day he had been reluctant to face, was finally here.
Taking a deep breath, he walked in.
Immediately, the smell of cookies baking in the kitchen wafted to him. Instead of making him feel better, it made him feel worse.
Baking this late at night could only mean one thing.
Lily was worried.
Specifically, since it was chocolate chip cookies she was baking, she was worried about him.
Lily walked out of the kitchen with a smile on her face, "Zero, you're home."
"I'm home," he replied.
"Everything okay?"
He nodded.
"I'll be heading out again later," Zero told her.
"Oh?" Lily responded, worry evident in her eyes.
