For the next couple of weeks, Zero would spend time getting to know his mother. They would either meet up in her room, or Zero would take her out. For this, Lily played the host more than Zero did.
Zero never did ask Lily 'the question' for he wanted to still 'test the waters', so to speak. There was no point in asking Lily such a difficult question when he may not even be leaving.
Only if he did decide to go, would he ask her.
Yes, he had been thinking about it but he was still dragging his feet about it. He was curious but he was not *that* curious.

There was always some reason such as there was work that only he could do. His brothers also seemed particularly busy as well so, naturally, as the leader, he could not just leave it all behind, right?
