"It can be!" Lianne replied back and both were staring at each other angrily.
Latifah was the first to back down as she took several deep breaths.
How could this young woman ever understand the dilemma she was under? She was the Queen, and not just 'a mother'. One could not separate the two identities.
"You have survived and held on for over 30 years without Zero," Lianne pointed out, "And if Zero was never found, or had died, you would have other ways and means to settle the issue, isn't it?"
"Perhaps other candidates may not be as 'perfect' as Zero, but it's not like you don't have a choice. You just chose the one that would have the best result - even if the one who has to fulfill it isn't willing."
