Life was quite relaxed and mundane for a few days.
Or rather, that is how it appeared on the surface.
Lianne didn't follow Kai to the office for the next two days and would often be seen going to buy lunch at the cafe nearby. She didn't eat in, though, and simply bought the food and left.
On the third day, finally, Lianne's patience was rewarded.
The conman appeared again.
This time, he did not knock into her but was standing right behind her in line to make the order. Thus, when she turned, he gave this overly exaggerated look of surprise and say, "It's you! Nice to see you again."
Lianne's lips curled up to a smile and she nodded politely before leaving.
The guy was a bit flustered that other than the smile, there was no other reaction. Though the smile was enough to give him hope that she didn't find him repulsive.
