Lianne rolled her eyes
"Fun? Fun?" she said with a groan. All she wanted was for this to all be over so that she could live - and love - her man openly.
Kyle's grin just got bigger while he wriggled his eyebrows, "CEO stuff is boring. Endless meetings, schemes, outbidding the other - all are meh. Now, give me being straightforward things like scaring people. Now, *that* is fun."
"Whatever," Lianne mumbled.
Then she looked up at her mother and said sincerely, "But I am truly happy that you've found the sort of life that suits you."
Kyle smiled, thinking of all that he had been through - in his former life, and in this. Yes, he truly was very fortunate that not only was he given this second chance to right the wrongs done to him before, but also to actually find his soulmate and live freely.
"Once this whole farce of the bride candidates is over, your life will settle down to just what you want it to be," Kyle said.
