"Who's there?!" Madeline screeched, standing up as she looked left and right in the room.
Her eyes darted over every nook and cranny in the room and she couldn't see anything. The room was not big but it wasn't small either. There was no place to hide, unless you counted under the desk?
Madeline trembled and looked down, breathing a sigh of relief to note that there was no one there.
There was a sound on her right and she turned quickly, but there was nothing, She turned back and suddenly, there was a man right in front of her.
She screamed, jerked back and the back of her legs hit her chair. She fell onto the chair, her buttocks slamming on it as she stared at the figure towering over her.
Despite the fear, she could not help but gasp in admiration at the vision in front of her.
