As they were nearing the house, Reimonna turned to Madeline and said, "Maggie, my dear. Stay for dinner."
"Oh, Auntie, I'd love to but…"
"No buts," Reimonna said, patting the back of Madeline's hand, "Your parents are not around and your house is practically empty! Just dinner, then go back."
Madeline nodded, smiling gratefully, "Thank you, Auntie. You always take such good care of me."
"It's nothing, my dear," Reimonna replied, "You're practically family!"
Kai caught the slight roll of the eyes his wife gave and he grinned, leaning forward to whisper into her ear, "Jealous?"
Lianne turned her head and her lips nearly touched his, causing her to jerk back a bit and hit her head on the window.
"Oh gosh, are you okay?" Kai asked worriedly, rubbing the back of her head and checking if there was any bump.
Lianne looked at him with a slight pout on her face, "It's your fault! Don't do that."
