Stephan stood there, glaring at Kyle, and grabbed the replenished drink, finishing it in one gulp. Sitting down, he said, "You're such a prick, you know that?"
Kyle smirked, raised his own glass to him, and downed it, saying, "Excuse me, that's Mr. Prick to you."
"What is this nonsense of Lianne wanting to get married? She doesn't even have a boyfriend!" Stephan said, gripping the glass.
"She does," Kyle told him.
"And he never came to meet me? Fine son-in-law right there," Stephan muttered.
"Things happen," Kyle replied, "The two kids are really in love, Stephan."
Hearing Kyle, who was not much older than Lianne, referring to Lianne as a kid still gave Stephan the chills. But then again, if he could accept that Kyle was his ex-wife, why not this?
He still gets a headache whenever they meet to talk about Lianne. Which was why he kept his contact with Kyle to the bare minimum.
It was just too strange!
