Seeing the stern Stephan at the doorway, Kai was strangely not nervous at all. Perhaps it was due to the fact that he had absolute faith in Kyle already persuading him, and so, the gruff figure was just an act.
Still, Kai didn't let it show on his face as he greeted Lianne's father politely, "Good afternoon, Sir. My name is Kai Sheng."
Stephan, to his credit, was not rude or grunted but instead, nodded at him and they shook hands.
Firm grip.
Good.
"Welcome, come in," Hannah, Stephan's wife said as she came to stand beside him.
"Thank you," Kai replied politely.
With his hand on Lianne's back, they entered the house under the constant steely gaze of Stephan. Kai gave a 'nervous' smile as he passed them, and Stephan was satisfied in his heart.
Who said that only Kyle could be intimidating?
