"Is it?" Kyle asked her back, "Can you honestly tell me right now, that if Kai's life was in danger, you wouldn't sacrifice yourself to save him?"
"Of course I would!" Lianne said without hesitation, then bit her bottom lip as she leaned back on the chair.
"See? What I want from him is the same sort of love you have for him," Kyle said, his voice gentler now.
"Before this, all I saw was a love-struck boy that seemed to have found a candy that he fancies at the moment," Kyle said, "I want him to be dedicated to that candy. I wanted to make sure that it wasn't a momentary thing. Something he was just overwhelmed by, due to the sudden influx of feelings he had never felt before. He may say it isn't temporary and he may believe it is forever but until he is actually willing to die and suffer for you, I don't believe it."
