He should be tired, really, as he didn't much sleep. Yet, he wasn't. Perhaps it was the adrenalin rush from the 'morning sessions' with Lianne. Not just the manner in which he got all heated up, but also the excitement from discovering new things about her.
Her calm analysis of the situation, her decisive moves, and her unrelenting support to him. He would rather die than lose her.
His steps slowed down a bit as he looked around him.
Suddenly, he thought that all of this that he had been working so hard for, just paled in comparison to what he has with Lianne. He had immense satisfaction by obtaining things with his own two hands and reaching the top was his ultimate goal.
Was it all worth it?
Yes.
Could someone truly say with all honesty, that they would not feel satisfied when achieving something? When all of the hard work they put into something, bore fruit?
