It was a Friday evening. Kaito, 24, had just got home after spending six months in Africa, helping victims of a devastating famine. He took his clothes off and went straight into the bathtub and turned the tap on. He was exhausted. Working as a full time volunteer for an international organisation meant he had to be willing to travel all over the world, helping those in need or in distress. He didn't earn much, but he was content. The exhaustion he felt turned to happiness whenever he thought about the people he had managed to help out as a part of his organisation, and he would feel a sense of pride. His parents were disappointed with him though. His father was the founder of Tanaka industries. Kaito was destined to live a high and mighty lifestyle as the only heir to one of the largest companies in Japan. But he had other things on his mind. He never agreed with the way his father ran the company, and vowed never to become like his father. His only desire was to help whoever was in need of help and do his bit to make the world a better place.
Coming back to the story, Kaito was laying down in the bathtub and thinking back on his recent trip. Tears began to well up as he remembered the faces of the poor and sick children he had come across. He had to do more, he thought to himself. As these thoughts ran through his mind, his exhaustion got the better of him and he fell asleep. Unfortunately, his head began to get submerged in the water and he began to drown in his sleep.
"Kaito? Kaito?", a gentle, yet commanding voice called out. As he opened his eyes, all he could see was a very bright and blinding light. A hand suddenly reached out to him and Kaito was able to make out a slender figure shrouded by the light. Slowly, he began to be able to make out the features of the person who was reaching out to him. It was a beautiful sight. The figure appeared to be a tall and slender woman with flowing golden hair. As he looked closer, he saw that the lady was astonishingly beautiful. He was overwhelmed by her beauty. "I must be dreaming", Kaito thought to himself. "No you're not", the lady said to him. Kaito was taken aback. "Did she just read my mind?", "Yes I did", "Who are you? Am I dead? Is this heaven?". Kaito had so many questions. The figure grabbed him by the shoulders and began to explain the situation. "Tanaka Kaito, before I explain, let me apologise first. It was not your time to die yet. However, the goddess of mercy saw how exhausted you were and couldn't help but make you fall asleep to ease your exhaustion. She didn't expect you to slip and drown. This, however, has put us in a bind. Let me introduce myself. I am Godiva, the queen of all gods in the entire universe. I have been watching you ever since you were conceived in your mother's womb. Let me tell you this. Your kindness and warmth, your willingness to help and sacrifice for those in need have left quite the impression on me. Therefore, I would like to give you another chance at life. You will be reincarnated in another world with my blessings. My blessings have never been given to anyone since the beginning of time itself. However, I deem you worthy of it and believe that you shall use them to change the world for the better. What say you, Kaito?". Kaito was dumbfounded. He found it difficult to process everything that the goddess told him, but his mind was already made up. He couldn't pass up an opportunity to help make another world a better place. "I accept your offer, oh goddess", replied Kaito. The goddess smiled and put her hand on his forehead. Kaito felt a jolt of energy throughout his body. "It has been done", the goddess said. "You are now the sole wielder of my blessing. You will learn more about it eventually, but to put it simply, you are now the most powerful person in the universe, second only to the gods. Additionally, the goddess of mercy has also given you her blessings. If you wish to speak to her, simply go to one of her temples in the new world. She will appear before you once you kneel in front of the altar. Now go forth to the world of Indramil. We expect great things from you."
Everything around Kaito turned black as he began to pass out. As he opened his eyes, he found himself in a small cave. "I must be in Indramil", he thought to himself. As he began to gather himself and study his surroundings, there was a sudden loud crash outside the cave. The resulting sound was as loud as thunder. The ground started to shake and loose rocks started falling inside the cave. Somehow, all the noise and shaking didn't have any effect on Kaito. He remained calm and cool. This was unusual for him. Normally, he'd be at least a bit frightened on experiencing such a thing. He brushed it off and decided to venture outside. He walked towards the entrance of the cave and poked his head out. It was dark outside, but his eyes quickly adjusted and he could see everything clearly. It felt as if he was looking through night vision goggles. But much clearer. He began to scan the surroundings, trying to locate the origin of the loud noise.
