Chereads / My Memory of Love / Chapter 7 - His Jealousy

Chapter 7 - His Jealousy

Song Family Mansion

Aria woke up early and went to the dining hall to eat breakfast. She greeted her father who was reading a newspaper while her mother was setting up their food with the help of the maids.

"Good morning, Daddy! Good morning, Mommy!"

"Good morning, darling," her parents greeted back and Aria seated herself at the vacant seat near her father.

Her father drunk the cup of coffee and stated, "There's your ordered new comforter on the living room."

"I didn't order any comforter," Aria stated while in a confuse manner.

"Oh, we thought it was yours as it was color pink and it has a pink bedsheets inside its package," her mother explained.

"Aunt Eris, it's mine."

Nilan suddenly showed up from the entrance of the dining hall.

Aria quirked her brows while looking suspiciously at Nilan.

"Why is it pink?"

"Why? I like pink."

The young woman almost choked on her milk as she heard the most ridiculous thing early in the morning.

"I thought you hate girly stuffs?"

"Did I ever say it?" Nilan said as he took a piece of a clubhouse sandwich and went to the living room, picking his order while he left a word for Aria to glare at his retreating back.

"Delusional."

The glaring young woman then turned to her mother.

"Mommy, did people normally change like that?" Aria asked her mother as they started to eat breakfast.

"Darling, people usually don't change in a sudden---"

"Unless it involves love! Look at me and your mother!" Her father interrupted as he folded the newspaper and started to dig in on his food.

Despite her father was known to be a ruthless businessman when it came to the business industry but truly when at home he was a happy-go-lucky person. Her mother just sighed at her father's antics.

"Love," Aria uttered to herself as her eyes suddenly twinkled.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Hurried knocking was heard from outside of his bedroom as he was busy replacing his comforter with the new one he ordered, and covered it with his pink bedsheets.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Nilan frowned from the annoying person outside as he lazily opened the door. Aria's smiling face appeared.

"What?"

"Are you inlove?"

Bang!

Nilan instantly closes the door and locked it as he heard that stupid question from his stupid cousin.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Just answer my question, brother!"

And here is it, again. The brother endearment.

Nilan sighed and ignored his cousin outside who had this persistent spirit of not stopping on her bothering.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

If she's permitted to destroy the door then she would already knock it down.

"Nilan! I will not go away until you talk to me!" Aria declared as she seated herself, comfortably infront of his bedroom door. She was determined not to go to school unless her cousin showed up.

"Suit yourself."

The young man answered back and started to wear his uniform as he finished already on bathing. He buttoned his white shirt and left out the two buttons on his neckline.

He left his hair uncombed and picked up his bag. He opened his window and jumped out. His bedroom was only on the second floor and it was 'not that high'.

St. Merlin University.

I'm busy arranging my notebooks when a blushing classmate of mine neared me.

"Rain, there's someone looking for you outside," the timid girl told me as she hurried away in a fluster.

Who's looking for me?

I went to the door of our classroom and stucked out my head to see that someone. The smiling handsome young man greeted me with his charming smile that made my heart beats faster from his smile.

"Rain! Finally, we meet again."

I had a confuse face as I heard his statement.

"What is it, Clark?"

"There's an upcoming workshop for piano lessons and we are short of staff as it was being hosted by the university. I heard that you're a pro in piano so can you do me a favor?"

Without thinking twice, I agreed to him not waiting for his exact favor to ask.

"Yes, I'm willing to help!"

Clarks eyes brightens while he smiles at me and patted my head that I am willingly indulging.

That patting touch suddenly disappeared and I looked up in confuse when I spotted the jerk was infront of me, blocking my sight from my guardian angel Clark.

"What are you---" I was cutted off when Nilan interrupted.

"What are you doing to my girlfriend?!"

I didn't see what Clark did as it made the jerk more angrier.

"Alright, bye, Rain. Let's talk, again when I see you," Clark waved goodbye as he walked away.

"You won't able to talk to her, again 'cause you won't see her!" Nilan shouted back at the disappearing back of the vice president.

The vice president only chuckled and left.

I frowned my face in irritation and grabbed the jerk's arm to catch his attention.

"What's your problem?"

Nilan glared at me like I'm stupid.

"You are my problem!"

"And when did it happen that I became your problem?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"When we started our relationship!"

"Oh, good, you're well-informed about that we have this relationship when compared to me I am clueless to it all."

The jerk just huff and turns around, about to leave. But I pulled him again.

"What?!"

"Now you're angry at me?"

"No, I'm not angry at you."

"Then why are you being so grumpy?"

"I'm angry at myself."

He stated and immediately left that made me dumbfounded.

Art Class.

Professor Cruz was talking about the nature of art and so on, after that he paused and stated.

"Do you want to hear my own nature of art?"

The interested students nodded with full attention at him while the others who had no interest went silent and looked at the teacher.

I'm on the other hand was one of those students who had a twinkling eyes.

The professor chuckled and started explaining, "My nature of art is about feelings and emotions that you expressed. It's not all about aesthetics or the sensations that you would give to your viewers but what kind of feeling that you can evoke in your painting, sketch, drawing, music or anything that reflected your inner self and that's how you will affect the crowd."

We were amazed by Professor Cruz' words that even the uninterested were piqued by it.

"Sir, can you share to us your experience on your first painting?"

A fellow student pointed out while glancing at the painting that was displayed infront with the other works.

"Why is it called 'The Forgotten'?" Another one asked .

Professor Cruz smiled, an unspeakable emotion appeared on his eyes but instantly disappeared and stated, "Before I answer your questions, let's first have a quiz!"

The others groaned in despair while I asked the professor, "Sir, what kind of quiz?"

"Right! We will having an art quiz. Whoever gives me a very meaningful work can have a plus points in the exam!"

As he continued, "Because this is an art quiz so there must be a problem, 'The love that dies remains in memory but the love that lives, blossoms'."

We were energized as we heard the professor's announcement of plus points for the exam but perplexed to his problem.

Why does teachers love to give problems to their students when we, the students had many problems in life already?

"You may submit to me your interpretation through any kind of medium of art. Pass it to me until the end of the week."

We were about to complain because it was so hard to make a work the could move our professor. He was literally a high-levelled critique when it came to this.

And it was wednesday today so we only have two days more of our time.

"No complains. Goodbye!"

Professor Cruz left after his goodbye.

I turned to my seatmate who was my bestfriend.

"What are we going to do?" I asked her.

She shrugged and answered, "I'll just compose a song about love."

Good idea. She's a solo artist so it's not unusual to pass a song to the professor.

"What about you, Rain?"

What about me? I don't know.
