His priority was to stop her seizures immediately and then he'll devise a strategy regarding her treatment or contacting her family.
Panting heavily he entered the room, the sight put him to utmost horror..
She was having a generalized seizure with froth coming out of her mouth..
Is she an epileptic??!!
He didn't read anything like that on Wikipedia about her.
Or the accident made her one..
Asking for all the necessary medicine and basic aid kit, he asked the nurse to put her on sedative while he's intubating her to prevent tongue bite.
And glanced at his watched casually and waited for sedative to finally kick in. After 5 minutes her rigid body started to relax. She was finally stabilized.. It's the first neurological symptom after accident.
The minute her body relaxed, he started her full body check up.
There was nothing out of ordinary. Everything was normal.
Giving instructions to nurse to monitor her, he started walking to his office, tirdely.
It was a long day for him. He had many sleepless nights and a day of Labour.. he wasn't a weak man but he hasn't done anything in his life like any sort of menial work. And on top of it, the puzzle of Lina itself was enough to make his hair turn grey in one day, be it medically or her life, everything is mysterious.
Seems like, his life wouldn't be same after this woman. This woman has turned his life upside down. He couldn't save her with only his knowledge. He, Ian Norfolk, a famous doctor has been put to shame, due to his helplessness.
Casting his negative thoughts aside, he started thinking afresh about her medical condition, which he couldnt find out from internet.
He started writing down the things he don't know about her medical records. And changes since she admitted here.
He was wondering, whats the cause of her increased brain activity??!! Shit! he couldnt do EEG to find out what kind of activity is there. Is getting concious or worse. Or she has got her brain damaged permanently..
How would he send her to big hospital without putting her to more danger?!! That was again on his mind.
Startled by knock on door, he open it to find a panicked nurse, informing him, that she's again seizuring..
He immediately dashed toward the room..
After giving her sedative and controlling the seizure, he sat at her bedside chair and asked the nurse to leave.
This time he's going to monitor her. After five minutes or so, he got and did another body examination to rule out any other symptom.
This time, her lower limbs were stiff and there were abnormal reflexes. He immediately did the physiotherapy but the legs didn't return to normal.
Opening his notebook, he added another sign after seizure, her legs got paralyzed.
What's happening!!
Running to the office to bring the books back to her bedside, to study relating seizures and other neurological symptoms. And didn't have a heart to leave her now.

She was running and running but still the light is so far away. When she get a bit close to the light suddenly dark cloud cover it and she get greeted by darkness and then she couldn't move..
After God know how much time has passed and suddenly she again saw light, this time she ran with more enthusiasm and energy but the moment she get close to it, her legs gave way. She couldn't move it, as she never had a pair of longs before.
And again light was covered by dark cloud..
Afraid of dark she froze there..

It's been 48 hours and Dr. Ian is still sitting beside her bed in a very unkempt situation. He didn't moved from her side at all. How could he, when in the last 48 hours she had 3 episodes of seizures and every time the seizure subsided there will be a new sign.
The page on his notebook was now getting filled with new signs.
"Her prognosis is very bad and you know that, why don't you ease her soul and just set her free", said the head nurse. It's the third time she is saying that to him and he's not even budging.
"I have contacted her family, how could I just give her mercy killing?!!", he said, dejectdly. It's been 30 hours and no one responded to his email. He contacted her husband and family and explained her condition. But still there's no response. He was hopeful at the start but now after so time has been passed he's getting hopeless.
"One more seizure and then she will dead. Only her facial and respiratory muscles are spared. She is already in lot of agony why don't to help her. Don't make it hard for just because you can't accept the death of your patient!!" said the nurse, sternly.
She belonged to the rare old faith of world, according to that fraternity, there shouldn't be any harm given to any soul, be it plants, animals, insects or human beings. Whoever has soul shouldnt be aggrieved.
Clearly the soul of this woman is trapped inside her body. She isn't a priest to set her free but she could feel it. But she don't know how to make Dr Ian understand.

There is so much pain coursing through her body that she's unable to breath and it's making her brain hazy.
She was only seeing light from behind of dark cloud but she couldn't move..
The overwhelming pain is making her brain stop working. She was losing sense and rationality.
And suddenly there was such a blinding light that was making her unable to see anything. She tried listening but there wasn't anything she could hear.
Her body wasn't coordinating and then the wave of pain from the toe of her feet to her abdomen was excruciating and now this light..
She has lost it, truly. She admitted her defeat and wasn't going to fight any more. What's out there in light be there she wasn't interested any more.
