Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Way to the Villa

Cribbing over broken pieces

of past life

is another story.

Living them once again

to bring life back

made her commit a crime gory.

Becky eventually found out the reason behind her mother's divorce.

As her mother's mental condition was deteriorating day by day, she was more than determined to bring her parents back together to start off a normal life in every possible way.

Enthusiastically, the 17 year old colleen jumped up the public vehicle and bid her mother an ' on a mission ' goodbye!

The mother, being an over protective single parent and a depression patient had to bow down on her knees in front of her daughter's stubborn request to meet her father a day before her 18th birthday.

On her way, she bought herself some bananas and apples which surprisingly got rotten as they were inching closer to the Villa.

Blaming the weather for the rotten fruits, she still had faith intact and kept swaying away her mother's words in mind but couldn't get over the bugging conversation.

Becky recalls:

Mother: This is such an irrational request you've put forward, Beck !

I care about you. We two live as a family. Do I lack somewhere?

Now you need your father too? You very well know he's such a devil!

There's a spirit controlling his mind and soul. Do you want to go still?

Becky: Maa! You are everything to me. But after giving your health condition a scrutiny, I do feel you need a companion.

Maybe father has changed?

Mother: You are just 17! Atleast wait for your birthday tomorrow.

Becky: No maa, I want to spend my 18th birthday with both my parents.

(a long pause)

Mother: What if that sadist kills you?

▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎

The conversation was as frustrating as an unsolved maths puzzle for an Arts student like Becky!

Driver: Five miles to go ma'am!

Becky: uh-oh! Alright.

Contrary to her age, Becky was quite unidealistic yet certain beliefs in fantasies, spirits and conjuring were burried somewhere beneath her. This made her invite certain doubts on what kind of person her father would be and why had her mother been a mere depressed, low and feeble skeleton since fourteen years of her conscious mind to make out things.

And suddenly...
