I am the ninth child of my Father, King George Edgar van Wills, Douglas Markion van Wills. I was still seven years old when everything went to hell. My wet nurse, as well as Father's aide, Sylvia Anne Schmit, betrayed my family. Why? I do not know. Her face was the very first one I have seen the moment I first opened my eyes. She had amethyst eyes, pale white skin, and her long auburn hair tied back to a bun. She was beautiful, indeed. The moment I could talk, she was the first to hear me. The moment I could crawl, she was the first that saw it. She spent more time with me than my own mother did. She, whom I first called mother, cried. I do not know if she cried from happiness... Or from regret... But she smiled to release my worries. Her warmth was more than enough to soothe my pain. Yes. I deemed her my mother. This, however, was not a pleasurable sight to my mother, Queen Helen Elizabeth van Wills. In her eyes, I knew... She detested her. As time went on, the crown Prince, Prince Allen Wales van Wills, has started his debut at Iverson Magic Academy along with my eldest sister, Princess Allysa Del van Wills, and second eldest brother, Prince Paul Alexander van Wills. Prince Lucas Keal and Princess Janette Keal van Wills, the twins, were being private tutored in sword and magic. Prince Jason Ivan van Wills was also being tutored with Lucas in swordplay. Princess Lucile Silk van Wills and Princess Cecilia Ash van Wills were being tutored with Janette in magic. And Princess Jewel Madillyn van Wills is still learning how to read. It has been four years since I was born. All of us only speak with one another when we're eating, or at practice. I barely spoke to my family. The only friend I had was Sylvia. She would tenderly hug me when I was down, and scold me when I made mistake. I grew closer and closer to her for the next 2 years. Then, my mother, the Queen got pregnant once again. Father was overjoyed with this news. He, however, was rarely with us. Only when we eat dinner, all of us are together. Apart from my two eldest siblings. By the time I became seven, the royal family hosted a party for me. Plenty of aristocrats came. Even my two eldest siblings came. Sylvia, however, was nowhere to be found. I had to greet all of the guests that had come. Almost all of them, I saw a red outline. They even gave out this eerie vibe... Almost like... Death was lurking nearby. As time passed, Everyone was outlined in red... But not me... I looked at a reflection of myself along with some of the aristocrats. They had not an outline, but rather, a red silhouette. I decided to go outside for sone fresh air. As I stepped outside for a few moments, someone also came out. I turned around to see Sylvia in her casual dress. I smiled at her but she showed me a sad smile. It was at this time that I felt a cold sweat run down my cheek. "Sylvia, where were you?" She extended her arm with her sad smile still intact. I confusedly took it as she dragged me inside. "Your majesty, I believe that it is time for the young prince to give a toast." Father looked pleased with the idea and nodded. All the servants gave glasses of wine to everyone present in the room. As I stepped in front of all of them, I could see that those servants were somehow different but I shrugged it off, thinking that it was just my imagination. I wish I could have pointed that out back then. It was one of the biggest regrets I have. Even to this day... My mind has not been freed from it. As soon as everyone recieved a glass, I opened my mouth. "Dear friends and all of the nobles and knights that are here, I would first like to thank you for attending my party. And because without you, our kingdom could not have flourished from all of your hard work. For always being on the front lines, ready to give your life for the King, I, Douglas Markion van Wills II, thank you." I raise my glass. "To the King and the Kingdom" I swallowed my drink. "To the King and the Kingdom!" Everyone drank their drinks as well. However, Father has started to puke blood after drinking. And soon, everyone else started doing so. Soon after, all of them collapsed, one-by-one. I was left standing there, feeling drowsy as a familiar figure made its way towards me. Sylvia's face became clear but was slowly fading. "I love you." She placed someting around my neck and kissed my forehead before she gently put me down. I was still barely conscious, but I could still hear the chaos happening around me. I wake up to an unfamiliar bed, unfamiliar ceiling, and unfamiliar scenery. I heard a knock soon after. The door opened to reveal a woman that appeared to be in her early to mid 20s. "Oh. You're awake." She walked towards me with a piece of cloth and some water. "Where... Am I?" I looked at her confusedly. "You're in the country Satiel. You were brought here by a woman wearing a hood so I couldn't see her face. She said that you were fleeing from the neighbroing country, Malden. I heard that its kingdom was burned, down to the very last village." She bathed me. "I see... I apologize for intruding." She gave a warm smile. "Not to worry. You remind me of my child before..." She stopped and clothed me. "Thank you..." She gave me another warm smile. "Are you fine with soup? I live alone now and I don't get much visitors." She was about to step out of the door. I gave her a nod and smile to which she smiled back. I suppose... I'll live here for now... Sylvia... Wherever your... I hope that we'll meet once again... And explain to me why you betrayed us... Betrayed me...
