Chapter 1 - The Executive Class

A surprise train trip for her. I gifted her a lifetime experience. The journey of togetherness. She didn't have any idea where are we going. I asked her to pack a bag for 3 days trip. I took Uber from the other side of Delhi to pick her up from Gurgaon and then we drove to New Delhi Railway Station.

She was standing outside her apartment. Wearing black salwar kameez, applied the serum on her black long hair, strawberry lip balm, Calvin Klein strong perfume and the beautiful lady eagerly waiting for me. I hugged her tightly, I stranded for a few seconds to see her. I don't know what's so special when she puts the spectacle on her forehead which never fails me to impress. That day she applied Kajal on her beautiful eyes. The sclera is shining like a diamond in a black background.

The aroma of the cab soon changed with positivity and a strong smell of her perfume. We went to New Delhi. I told her that we are going on a train journey. It's Rajdhani Express Executive Class for two people.

The beautiful red train and smile on her face. I knew she liked my surprise. She holds my hand and said thank you. The train was at the platform no 16. We boarded the train and the first glimpse was like a huge space for two people. Which will be ours for the next 16 hours. I locked the cabin and she hugged me and said thank you for the surprise. It's a much-needed break for us.

We saw Delhi passing each second, the outskirts and tiny station with people waiting for the local trains to catch. She was happy and said everything she wanted to. Stories of the school days, struggle to get a job. Previous heartbreak and her passion for flying.

She knows well that I don't talk much. Express my feelings in writing. But she is good at letting me indulge in conversations. I know she wanted me to tell her everything perhaps whatever is inside me. I said wait for some time, my love.

I opened a box of pastry that I bought from Wengers. I grabbed a piece of Chocolate Wave and she grabbed one. I had half of the piece and knew she wants to have half of mine. It's worth noticing her temptation for chocolate.

She wanted to smoke and I said it's not possible. It's an offence and against the rule. She said rules are made to be broken. I call attendant and asked that we want to smoke and can you let this happen, please. He said the coach is almost 70% unoccupied and will be filled at the next stop so we can go to the exit door and smoke. I hold the hands of my darling and went to the exit door. The train was running approximately at the speed of 60. I opened the door and she lit the cigarette and it was Marlboro Light. I asked the attendant to give us a cup of coffee. We spend 10 minutes at the exit door. Had a cup of coffee. Enjoyed every droplet of the rain. The smell of after shower and her perfume let me closer to her.

We came back to our coupe. I asked her to take a nap for an hour. I prepared the bedding for her and switched off the lights and covered the window with the curtains. I covered her with the blanket and went outside the coupe. She stopped me and ask to stay with her. I ask to take rest and I will be there in just 10 minutes.

I went to the exit door again. Had a cup of coffee. It was raining. I plugged in the earphone and listen to my favourite songs. I was smiling because I was travelling with the lady I love the most.

Half an hour passed and she texted me "I am scared of losing you, please come back. I need you at this point in time." - Your Princess

I knocked on the gate and she asks me to come inside. She hugged me tightly and said please never leave me. I kissed on her forehead and said I will never my love. Will always there for you no matter what.

We had dinner on one plate and I was feeding her like her mother. She keeps on saying this will be the last bite but I make sure that she ate enough for the night.

After having dinner, we went for a walk in the gallery. The executive class offer this luxury. Holding hands and not saying a word. I know she wants to smoke. I call the attendant and ask for a cup of coffee. He asks to deboard the train to smoke as the train stopped at a tiny station which barely has a light.

The weather was good that night. It was rained almost an hour ago. The cool breeze and the smell of after a shower. The silence which is hard to be found in Delhi. She noticed everything from the cool breeze to leaf gliding in the wind.

"In your light, I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest where no-one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art." – Rumi
