Chapter 1 - Zero

I come here whenever I feel down, depressed, and low.

Though I have done nothing so far in my life,I sometimes feel good and feel that I can achieve anything. But during some other times I feel like I'm not even good to be alive.

Life is so crazy. These ups and downs make us feel like we've either conquered the whole world or lost it entirely. In terms of mathematics the local extremes look like the global extremes.

Why do we become so narrow minded as we continue to grow old, or to say, as we start too feel better why do we slowly forget the possibility of failure and loss? All the pain we have endured ever, we forget that too once we feel comfortable. Such is the wonder of the human nature. And later we always strive and struggle to get something that we don't have. We probably never realize that what we have can make us happy more that that we are struggling for.

The irony is that I'm no exception to all of this. And everyone knows and accepts the above sentences. Maybe that's the reason it's said" ignorance is bliss ". A fish never realises that it's in water.

Somethings are always taken for granted. This is because of abundance and surplus. Once the things get scarce, people slowly start to realize how important they are even for just a mundane life. The fish which always lives in water and has absolutely no idea about that fact also struggles a lot for it's life once it's taken out of the water. We could never think of how important things are until we lack them.

This is becoming like a loop. First I've mentioned that we always strive for something that we don't have. And now, we would only understand the importance of the things that we already have once we loose them.

It's true that we strive for things that are not in our possession but once they become ours, we instantly forget about them and take them for granted. This can be 'cured' only by a thorough retrospection. Stop by, take a moment and look back at your life. See what you've achieved, remember how important it felt to you and how hard you've worked to get it into your life. Never forget the struggle and only that way you can remember how important things are to you and how important you are to yourself….

This is Zorro, signing off…
