Long time ago there was a king Shantanu of Hastinapur. King Bharat whom name later came to be known as Bharat. His might was that he even to a lion, then opened his jaw and then started to count the number of teeth. So just think about the son of King Bharat who is Shantanu. He loved to walk in the river Ganga near him. He would always think about the splashing waves of the sea. But one day in the evening a beautiful lady walking on water surprised him. This caused love in Shantanu's heart. He asked her Oh beautiful lady will you marry me. The lady said I will marry you but in case if anyone stops me so I would leave you forever.
