Chapter 6 - Are you okay? (2/2)

His assistant did not leave the car because he was ordered just to watch the show. He felt proud of his boss. He saw how he ruthlessly ignored the father-daughter duo and went to Samantha's side.

Oh, my single heart can't take to much of this PDA!!! the assistant thought.

Alex then entered the car with the crying Samantha. He saw her innocent face crying, and he felt pangs of regret when he saw he was too late. He was about to head to the office when he listened to the GPS tracking.

["Oh, now you still remember you have a home?"] an older man's voice rang from the tracker, Alex deduced that this was her father.

["Oh Ronald, why did you yell?"] then an older woman's voice rang from the tracker.

Ronald? Ronald Brooks? The old guy who was friends with his father?

["It's nothing dear, it's just my daughter has been so unruly. She's an sl*t like her mother."] Ronald's voice gentle voice rang from the tracker. Alex furrowed his brows when he heard the "s" word. He showed the location of the tracker and told the assistant: "Go to this house right now.

The assistant knew so something was up and went to the location at top speed because he saw from the mirror how tense his boss's face was. Then while driving there, Alex heard another sentence: ["If you don't like here, why don't you leave then?"]

Then after a few seconds later, rain poured. They arrived at the house and saw Samantha walking lifelessly. He felt pain in his heart when he saw her. He was just about to open the door when a man in his 50s rushed towards the car, He thought that they were going to invite Samantha to come in the house, but his expectations did not happen.

The man in his 50s ignored the rain and headed towards the car and bowed before saying: "Mr. Walton, I never knew you would come."

Then he told his assistant: "Stay in the car." before opening the door and going outside. He heard Ronald say: "It's raining here, why don't you come inside for some coffee?" and he saw another woman bring two umbrellas. She offered one to her father and used the other one for them.

"Mr. Walton, I hope you---" the woman never finished the sentence when Alex went past them. He was angry about the way her biological father treated her because of greed. He saw that Samantha was lifelessly lying there. He knelt and whispered gently: "Are you okay?"

Samantha saw him as the light from the darkness within, like water in the desert. She cried in his arms, so he carried him. Alex swore he would make her family pay even if she doesn't agree to it.

He entered the car with the wet and crying Samantha in his arms. His assistant looked at him like he's his idol. Samantha was still crying in his arms without a care for the world.
