Chapter 2 - | FFTD | Vol.1 | Lost & Broken |(Ch.2)

Cold. It was really cold. And muddy....and wet.

Sora walked along the sidewalk as the pouring rain soaked her clothes. Big cars and trucks raced by, splashing the foul muddy water all over her clothes. "Well, this is just great. My lucky day." She mumbled to herself, rolling her eyes.

She had just left her apartment room shared with Shiho in a rush. After packing all her things quickly and quietly and leaving a note for Shiho to read, she left, never looking back.

"Hmm, would slapping him have been too extra?" Sora mumbled, pondering on the thought. She shrugged to herself, "Nah. Should've done it."

It's only been 5 minutes since Sora left but it had felt like a whole hour instead. Muddy, slushy and dirty water covered her completely, top to bottom.

She didn't have much money on her either. Sora sighed heavily. This day was really turning out for the worst.

Suddenly, Sora spotted an inn just by the corner complex on the right of the street. Just about 0.05 seconds after she had seen the inn, she rushed towards the doors as fast as she could, "I'M SAVE-"

"Wha-aahh!" Sora slipped onto the pavement as she was about to enter the inn building. But instead of getting up, she layed there...on the cold, hard ground.

As she layed in an awkward position she clutched her fist tightly, her face darkened. Glassy tears formed in her eyes as she bit her bottom lip, trying her best to hold back the overwhelming emotions that filled her at this very moment.

Sora was trying not to think about it. Trying not to think about how lost and broken she felt. After the passing events of the last few hours, she couldn't help but think; what have I done wrong? What did I ever do to deserve this!?

"No, it wasn't my fault. It wasn't my fault. It wasn't my fault. It wasn't my fault. It wasn't..." Sora couldn't keep it in anymore. She broke down and burst into tears.

Of course it's stupid to lay flat on the street in front of an inn during the middle of the night while it's raining. But at this point, Sora couldn't care less. She just wanted to stay there. Drowning in her sorrows and crying out in anguish until she had no more tears left in her eyes to cry.
