Homura Ryuu's – no, Kresnik's voice cracked as his emotions got the better of him. All the pain he'd been trying hard to keep inside coming out on the surface, his anguish making his throat raw. The loneliness, his remorse, his yearning, his shame – all of those came in overflowing abundance that it was even a feat that he was not on the floor screaming.
Gin knew this. He knew how much Kresnik loved his niece, and he knew that discovering the truth was more than devastating. But it was the truth that they had to face. They had been ignoring the glaring fact for far too long. The suffering they had, although they were real was a product they had made themselves.
A price to pay for being blind. The just desserts to them who were negligent.
