Darkness surrounded him on every side, crushing him and making it hard for him to breath. Where was he? What was this place? Wasn't he just in the classroom listening to Mr. Albus' lecture on all things boring? How did he suddenly appear in this abyss-like place?
The young man in his late teens stood alone in the emptiness, trying to make sense of his nonsensical predicament. With his sight impaired, the young man could only rely on feeling his way through the blackness, even though that didn't' seem to be helping either. He felt like he was walking in place. Although the world surrounding him was dark, the boy could feel a predator-like gaze burrowing into his skull. Suddenly a cold wind passed over his nape from the blackness. Turning towards the direction the chill came from, he could see a faraway light. The light called to him and his body moved forward unconsciously. The longer he walked the further the light seemed to be. Even with this paradoxal occurrence, he did not register that anything was wrong with it; He only wanted to be closer to the light. Whispers floated to the young man's ears, however none of the quiet words were in any way recognizable. Who was watching him? What were they saying?
"r"
He strained both his hearing and sight, trying to understand. Trying to see the source of light.
"ru"
What? What was the voice trying to tell him? Although he could not fully hear the words, he could feel the warning in the voice. It did not seem to want to hurt him but rather it was telling him something important. The light was still moving away from him, but the breeze coming from the light was getting hotter and stronger, like the whispers.
"r-n, r-n, RUN!"
