The ability to split one's spirit and inhabit a vessel made from one's life, that's the ability unique to Ryū after he was given a new life.
In a sense, it is a cloning technique that grant a form of immortality or death prevention as one could continue living as long as there is a vessel remaining with the spirit intact.
Also, the memories of the dead or dispelled will be transfered to the rest. A benefit in that Ryū can definitely grow faster in experience, but death is not something he welcome with open arms.
'I've confirmed my suspicions,' he turn to the sky and sigh, 'This place is Douluo Continent and I'm currently one of the new recruits of Spirit Hall... this is safer than being alone.'
With his position within the Spirit Hall, he was granted basic knowledge and training in that he was able to know there are different ranks between spirit masters in ring configuration.
There are nine known titles starting from the very bottom known as Spirit Scholar (rank one to ten) up to the highest known title as Titled Douluo (rank ninety-one to ninety-nine).
They were also taught on how to estimate one's optimal spirit ring configuration for their existing abilities, one that is very important for a spirit master to step on further up to Titled Douluo rank.
Then they were trained in housekeeping and management, as well as some semblance of combat training in the form of spars without the uniform techniques.
It is what amounts to be a better version of street fighting armed with enhanced abilities that could put modern warfare into shame.
Still, he trained with his clones in Jeet Kune Do which is simply a thought or principle of movement where time is minimized yet the energy is maximized, efficiency so to speak.
Aside from Jeet Kune Do, he has also trained in Taekwon-Do and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu while picking up Kenjutsu limited only to how ever much he could train according to knowledge.
This started a month ago, and of course he had to get slowly rid of the pacifist mindset he had back as an Earthling seeing as the world he lives in now is a survival of the fittest type.
"Everyone, attention!"
He turn to the source of the voice along with the others and saw a young man around ten holding a scroll.
"Tomorrow, teams Scholar V and Scholar VI will move out to the Star Dou Forest for their members' experience and spirit rings! We will leave by sunrise, pack up!"
With that, the speaker left with his team while the kids that are ranked Scholars were left in the hall that serve as their bedroom.
Ryū dispelled his clones and absorbed their memories as well as their spirit seeing as it is his own from the beginning, then proceeds to plan his own hand.
His spirit essence is a small crystal, its basic ability is to change forms according to his will and convert spirit energy into power, speed, durability, or ammunition if the form is that of a gun.
Spirit Hall made a name for the spirit and called it Crystal after seeing its abilities (transforming into cold weapons), he would not show that it can transform to firearms as that would be an ace up his sleeve.
For his estimation, he could absorb a yellow spirit ring in the six hundred year range from his physical and mental training. Power-type or agility-type rings are most welcomed.
"Ryū, you're assigned as Scholar VI Agility. Do keep your package light so it won't inhibit your movement."
The team leader of Scholar VI approached and woke him from his thoughts as he turn to him to give her a nod before observing who she walks along with.
"I was told your spirit can change forms. I'd like you to become Scholar VI Control when the need arises, will that be fine?"
An agility will move around the field with a speed that cannot be seen by the unaided eye, but a control will see into the situation and act according to intelligence.
"That's fine. I'll make preparations," he then left the group since he's not needed anymore.
"Wait!"
A figure rushed over to him when he's through the gates and saw that it was the team leader, looking at him with her curious red eyes.
"Can I come with you? You sound mature and seems to know what to expect in these times."
He blinked his eyes and replied, "Is it normal to speak your first impression at the first time conversing with another? But sure, I'll tell you what to expect. Walk with me."
When he moved and confirmed that she was following did he finally start.
"Aside from the basic conditioning we have been subjected to for the past month and the lectures we attended, what we lack as newbie Scholars is experience.
We don't have much experience in combat with beasts and human alike, survival, and most especially, killing."
"So you mean to say that we do not have any definite means or the will to kill each of our own enemies?"
He shook his head, "No. Everyone is unique and cannot be put in the same box, more so to their abilities and the workings of the mind.
What needs to be corrected and trained is the ability to prevent making mistakes and learn under defeat. What does not kill you makes you stronger, remember?"
When they were walking around and buying random stuff that even the team leader could not make sense of stuff, Ryū began spreading his clones to scout ahead and dispel before midnight strikes.
He needs information so he sent them on a recon mission, and they cover a larger area when they transmit information through their spirits knowing well they're one and the same.
"Right, I haven't caught of your name yet. What do you like to be called?"
"Me? I'm called Yân Xiāo. You're Ryū, the one who's been especially scouted by an Elder, right?"
