Chapter 13 - The fake vigilante

In a certain room in New York, 7 people are gathered. The room is a small room, all the men inside this particular room are armed. Among them, one has an air of authority about him. This is the boss of these men and has complete authority over them. The air was somewhat tense in the room

"Report."(Boss)

"Yes, there appears to be someone taking out our boys, rumor has it that he has unparalleled physical strength, is about 169 cm, is always wearing a black hood and a face mask. Rumor has it that sometimes victims see fire"(Underling)

"I see, you may leave."(Boss)

"YES!"(underling)

The underling did as he was told and left. The air in the room became even tenser. What was about to be discussed was extremely confidential within the organization and only the people here among a handful of underlings know of this. The first one to break the silence was the boss.

"So do you people think its ten?"

No one dared answer except for someone standing behind the boss.

"It is indeed very possible."(???)

The man was In his twenties and had an air of authority about him. Different from the boss, this man's air of authority came in a slightly different way.

"Is that so, we carried out the plan but then ten started acting in a very unpredictable way and not only may that be the case, it is also very possible that the plan backfired on us. If the plan backfired then someone will have to take responsibility for it. (Boss)

"If I may speak," a man with the voice of someone in his twenties spoke, "Couldn't this also work in our favor?"(Underling 1)

"Explain yourself."(Boss)

"If ten is acting so seriously then there might be a way to establish contact and persuade him.'(???)

"And how do you propose that?"

"If we use him," he said as he pointing to the guy standing behind him, " we might be able to still go with the original plan we had of reaching his empathy. In fact, now that he's gone out, it may be more easy to lure ten. He is acting on feelings rather than reason so it may be easier for us now."

The boss thought for a bit on it and then answered.

"Very well, I'll allow it, however, if this fails. 6 feet of the soil will be waiting for you."

"I understand."

"Then this meeting is dismissed and the next time this meeting is held you better have accomplished what you proposed."

"Of course."

With that, the meeting was dismissed and everyone left for the room with different feelings. Some looking forward to the future, others anxious and others trying to see where this gamble might take them.
