The Holy Kingdom of Ecclesia shared the Sanctus Kingdom with 4 other countries. The Holy Kingdom itself was placed in the center of the continent. They were surrounded by the Empire of Nix to the north, the Petram Republic to the south, the Sect of Insulam to the east and the Kingdom of Mons to the west.
The Northmen as the other countries call the people in the Empire. They are known as a ferocious kind of people who live for killing in the army. Their outside appearance is that of muscular humans with long hair and full, long braided beards. The women of the continent think of Northmen as something exotic as their hair is mostly ginger and they also have mostly green and blue eyes. They are also well known not for their ferociousness on the battlefield only but in the bed as well.
The Empire was a fully militaristic country. They were ruled by military factions; there was a total of 5 major military factions and 12 minor military factions. These military factions together made a political body called the National Security Committee. Every military faction chose a representative for the committee in which they altogether voted for military campaigns, public and national security and similar. They also held a major voting every 4 years in which they were picking an Emperor from the various powerful individuals from the Empire's political scene. Normal nobles were responsible for the normal way of life in the Empire aside from the military.
Their lands were full of rocky terrain and very little fertile land. Since they were situated at the far north they were also almost completely covered in snow most of the year, which naturally forced them to hunt and breed animals, as well as wage numerous wars against their neighboring countries.
They had also accepted the Church of Imperium before and after the Great War since they used it as a natural motive to hunt demihumans and use them as free workforce and slaves. Elves were the best product since they were unnaturally capable hunters and Empire needed them. The Empire was also the only country to train children for the army ever since they were capable of holding a stick in their hands.
In the Empire, they had a saying "Weak shall serve, while the strong shall feast!". This saying was used as a moto and inspiration for all the upcoming adults and militants. Unfortunately, this was the reason for the lack of discipline in the Empire's army since they believed tactics are a weaklings tool to achieve victory. Of course, this was the reason why they lost their battle against Titus the Unmovable. Luckily for them after that massive defeat, they started paying more attention to tactics and strategies in war. Even after all these years, they managed to implement only one tactic which isn't even worth being called a tactic as its just a way of fighting called "shield wall". Their shield wall was especially synchronized with their cultivation which was mostly consisted of water and earth elements since they were the most abundant in the Empire. They could toughen their bodies and get a power-up.
The Petram Republic is situated at the far south of the continent. With their hot climate, they are well known for the exotic fish species that exist in the Sea of Aequor and is also their main export resource. The citizens of the Republic are famous shipmen; in fact, they are so famous they are sought after from all over the continent. The Republic has a massive union called the Redsail Union. Redsail Union is a government organization that is used as a delivery system. Many rich people use this Union as a means to transport something quickly all over the continent since the roads are undeveloped and the speed of travel is very slow. They are also famous for the protection they provide for every transport ship that sails under their flag. Redsail Union has become some sort of a bad omen for pirates as almost none of their ships managed to get robbed.
The Republicans as they are called, are non-aggressive people as they care only for money. They love money so much they are capable of betraying their own family for a great amount of money. That's a massive flaw in their character as they lack complete loyalty towards anyone. Their government is a corrupt one; in fact, they are so corrupt all the other countries combined cannot be compared to the Republic. There have been cases where pirates would bribe some higher-up in the government so he would organize a safe passage to the warehouses in the coastal cities.
Fortunately, their businesses make enough money so they can repair any damage done with corruption. Their high-skilled marketing and management officials always find a way out from any financial crisis that may come up. The outside appearance of the Republicans is fairly simple. They don't have anything exotic about them. Brown and dark hair prevail as well as the newest trend is a simple mustache and a goatee in a combination with an earing on just one ear. They are tanned people who like to wear loose, lush-colored clothes and robes. Jewelry is a must for anyone who cares just a bit about fashion. Unlike the Northmen, the Republican women are the thing that catches the most attention from any foreigner. Their curvaceous bodies with tanned skin are a thing to admire, especially if combined with their thin cotton clothes that draw the attention of almost any man.
Their political setup is fairly simple. Democracy is inscribed in the constitution and voting is every natives' right. There are a total of 9 ministries responsible for the management of the Republic with their respective Head Ministers at the top as well as a Prime Minister who supervises all actions from the ministries. Together with the President, they maintain a stable government; excluding the corruption of course. President himself has no major power over the countries' business or ministries except the Ministry of War. The President is a High-Commander of the Petram army and only by his orders will any conflict start. The requirements for any of the positions such as Head Ministers or the President is the completed education for their respective departments. That means the President himself has to be proficient at war strategies, history as well as politics and dealing with foreign ambassadors.
Most of the countries citizens were either fishermen or merchants, with a very little percentage of the population interested in agriculture because of the countries' rocky lands. The fertile earth used in their agriculture was called Red Earth for its high percentage of iron. Unfortunately, the number of cultivable lands was fairly small since they had to excavate large rocks and only after a few years would the lands be ready for use.
The Republics' army was the smallest of all the countries since they rarely indulged in wars. Despite that, they still had the largest fleet of all the countries. Their numbers went over a whopping 500 ships just for military actions. Their land forces numbered at a small number of 5000 active soldiers dispersed around the country for defense against beasts and surprise attacks from other countries.
Their favorite tactic was raiding the enemy countries' towns and cities with their fleet. If the enemy country decided to intercept them with ships they would just decimate it with their superior numbers and well-versed sea warfare tactics. Their cultivators were very well-versed with fire and wind elements since they were also the most abundant in the south.
They, of course, had the Church of Imperium stationed inside their country, just like the Empire and the Holy Kingdom. They used it as a means to sell exotic demi-human slaves only they had. The Church barely had any influence in the Republic because it needed money donations to survive and since the Republicans were in love with money and were quite selfish they rarely donated anything.
They had good relations with the Holy Kingdom since they couldn't utilize their ships against them in the case of war. They had a trading agreement with them in which was stated that the Holy Kingdom and the Petram Republic were free of taxes for trading between each other.
The Sect of Insulam is a country isolated from the rest of the continent and they rarely had any contact with the rest countries. Not much information was known about this Sect. Their capital was placed on a massive island 20 kilometers of the coast of the continent. This island was called the Sacred Island and the capital city of the Sect was called the Sacred City. Their religion was based on the Church of Imperium and they recognize the Church of Imperium as an older sibling. Their own Church was called the Church of Summidei and they also believed that the humans were superior because of God's Decree while the Church of Imperium believed humans are superior due to their nature and culture and thought of demi-humans as mindless beasts that live purely on instinct generated by copying actions from humans. Their Sacred Island was connected to the mainland with a 20-kilometer long bridge and they used their territory on the mainland for agriculture and animal farms as they didn't want to pollute their Sacred Island with such things.
They also performed rituals where they presented the sacrifices of both humans and demi-humans as a means to ask forgiveness for their sins as well as asking for their God for good luck in their lives and their Crusades.
The Sect was divided between Sect members and normal folk. The Sect members were divided between normal Sect members, Sect Elders, Sect Grand-Elders and the Sect Patriarch while the normal folk had their representatives that proposed solutions and ideas for the normal state of the country. Sect members had full authority over everything but they let normal folk reach solutions and implement ideas that were voted as good for the Sect because they secluded themselves most of the time to cultivate and train the Holy Crusaders for wars. The Patriarch was thought of as a Prophet who gets visions from God. He also had to be at least Ancestor level cultivator in light magic since that was a criterion set up by the Founder.
Their outside appearance is very simple. They mostly had black hair, had to be cleanly shaven at all times and wore nothing but a simple white robe with the insignia of the sun at their heart. That insignia represented that they were loyal subjects of God. Those that disobeyed the Sect and its teachings were punished severely. Criminals were lashed for minor crimes and for the major ones the punishment was mostly death by decapitation or getting burned at the stake. The Sect ruled with fear and completely disregarded the free will of its citizens. Nobody was let in or out of the Sect's territory without permission. The population never even thought of rebelling since the Sect was full of cultivators ready for combat.
Sect educated people to hate those who don't believe in the Will of God as prophesized by the Patriarch or those who don't follow the code of the Church of Imperium as well as hunt demi-humans as they were believed to be the Devil's descendants.
The Sect's Crusaders were the most elite soldiers' Sect ever trained. They were trained since they were very little. Most discarded children ended up at the Sect's orphanages and were taught to obey the Will of God since a very young age. At the age of 5, they were taken in by the Sect to get trained. They were taught to never disobey, to always spread the Will of God and kill those who refuse it and even kill themselves if the time calls for it.
The Sect also had one mortal enemy; The Kingdom of Mons, or as they called it "The Kingdom of Heretics".
