Melanie's ears clap when she heard anything aboutn her most awaiting Heart's Day. Heart's day was the time she can even eat more chocolates than niver as she wanted, same as cheese and macaroni… Always she did it well. On the other hand, Melanie hates cream and songs. She has her own reason why.

Her mother Anita is well-known in their town for being stylish youthful haftwit aged, while her father, Marco, lives his life to eat different kinds of food, in any moment or places.

Melanie, has a younger brother who named Uno. Melanie and Uno have always lots of reasons to fight, like foods, tv channels, or one will first go the toilet.

Melanie actually hates lovers in Heart's food… But what makes her excited in particular ocasion were different variety of prepared foods.

Melanie has a friend too who named Jasmine, top honor in all years. And because she is already 2nd year collage now, she has 23 medals and 14 certificates, in high school she have a medal of being responsible, behave, best in science, best in English and best in Math.

A morning came, Melanie and Jasmine got the invitation of the birthday party of the hurt rub boy in their class, Angelo's birthday and Melanie don't want to go in the party. She want to join Jasmine to answer assignment, but actually, she was goimg to eat and Jasmine has to do everything on her own.

After few days, it's party time. But in the Jasmine's house, Melanie said "I don't want to attend the party." Jasmine thinks and replies "But why?" "Because I don't" Melanie say to Jasmine. Angelo doesn't saw Jasmine and Melanie. Jasmine and Melanie. After that party is a terrible Monday, Angelo angrily said "Why you aren't there? Why? Answer me!" Melanie can't even open her mouth to say word.

Jasmine answered, "Because…" She think quick as she can what excuse she say give to save her friend from Angelo's anger, "Because we want to study well"

Elisa, her classmate, said in unpredicted moment, "Honey, I…"

Angelo asked "Don't call me honey, ugly duckling. Just shut your mouth up."

"Okay, if you don't want to know why she was not there yesterday." replied Elisa, and smiled evilly. The three got shocked of what Elisa what have said.

"What was that?" asked Angelo angrily. The silence covered the whole area for a while. "I said... WHAT IS THAT!?!" shouted Angelo.

Elisa got shocked and said, "Fine! Like what you wish for." and smiled. "JUST TELL IT! I don't to waste my time!" shouted Angelo.

"Okay! I saw Melanie in the court, it means she ain't studying but she just want to ignore you."

Angelo grasped Melanie's both shoulders asks, "Why you aren't..."

"Because I don't want to" shouted her and immediately removed Angelo's hands. Angelo replied "What did you say?" Melanie said "Are you deaf? Because I don't like to go to your stupidly party. Clear now?!"

Angelo founced out room with his company. And he murmur "Shit!"

Elisa loudly said to Melanie "Hey freaky weirdo! You're such a big loser. And it would not chamge even if you take a bath many times. " and leaved the room. Jasmime was to grab Elisa's hair but Melanie stopped her.

It's two weeks to come to most awaiting Heart's Day, Melanie preparing a lot of chocolates and cakes and her best friend makes a many heart sculptures. The Heart's Day in on Sunday and all lovers are excited. Anita buys precious dress that full of heart and she suit on hearts Day however Marco buy many sweet cookies that shaped by heart. After 1 week, they are prepared for the Heart's day. Melanie saw an old man who crying. 'Mister, what is your name and what are your problem? Don't be sad" "Thank you for comporting me, my name is Daniel. I'm crying because I did not try to love so, I'm lonely now. You, you are in love with someone?" Melanie answered "Not yet Mr. Daniel." Daniel replied "Try to love." "Good bye Mr. Daniel. Thanks for advice." Melanie back to her home and think Daniel said. She realize that she want try to in love. She suit her mother's red dress. Finally, today is Heart's Day. So, Melanie is so sad. She saw her friend Jasmine who has a date but doesn't have. She cries on the plaza who full of lovers. In that case she hears "Miss, why are you crying? Do you have a d-?" She will be happy and excitedly said "You are my date" but she so a big hole of nose and thick mouth so she said "Monsterrrrr!!!" She ran away and over cross with man who so handsome. A man said "Oh my god, loser!" and Melanie replied "Why you are so stupid… man?" A man replied "You? Why are so…" Melanie replied "You are a bad elements of my life so, get out." A man and Melanie continue their struggle. Jasmine saw Melanie and a man fighting, she come and said "Melanie, stop fighting at him." "Jasmine?" a man said. "P…" Jasmine looks the man and excitedly said "Prince." She hugs the man. Melanie asks her friend "Do you know this stupid man?" "Antonio is my neighbor there I was in elementary, I think you are perfect combined" she said, Antonio replied "What? This crazy woman you combined me? No thanks." Melanie replied "What?" "Stop, Prince. Stop, Melanie." Jasmine replied. "Why are you calling him Prince. He is not a prince; he is a stupid weirdo man that I interact." Jasmine explains to Melanie what the story about that "When the times that I'm studying at Baguio, Anton and I decide to create surname for each other. He calls me Princess and I call him Prince." Jasmine said. Jasmine ask "Melanie may we go in your house to eat? Antonio is so greedy now."Melanie answers "For you, it's a big OK. But for this stupid man, it's a big NO WAY!" Melanie said "Sorry, but I'm going to my home." In Melanie's room, Melanie eating her cakes and cookies, she said "It's so yummy." She hears her mother laughing. Melanie nosy what her mother laughing so, she going down to her room and she saw Antonio. "Oh no, a stupid man is in my home?" she loud said "Mom, what are he doing in our house, he ain't a part of the family?" Anita asks "You can't remember him? You can't remember last time we go in Baguio?" Melanie recalls again that they go to the Baguio, "Mama I want chocolate." Melanie said. Anita replied "Because you are my only one daughter I give you half of the chocolate." Melanie asks "But why?" Marco said "Because I already eat the half."Melanie cries "But I want whole chocolate that I eat." A little boy said "Miss, why are you crying? I have three chocolates in my packet. Do you want?" Melanie put those two chocolates and eat "Thanks."

After a day, they go back to Manila. She asks "Where's the kid that have three chocolates?" A little boy replied "I'm here." Melanie said "Thanks for three chocolates. By the way, I'm Melanie. You can call me Sugar Cane because I love a lot of sugar." She laughs. "Okay, Sugar Cane! I'm Anton; you can call me Mr. Cutie boy." Melanie said "Ha-ha! Okay, bye Mr. Cute…" After Melanie recall what's happen in the Baguio, she hugs Antonio and said "I miss you cutie boy." Antonio replied "I miss you too, sugar." Anita said "Sorry, but is already 12:00." Melanie said "Bye, Mr. Cute, see you later..." "Okay, Sugar Cane…" Antonio replied.

After that, Melanie goes home and she back to her room. She laid to her bed and stridently said "Thanks, God." And she sleeps with a big smile to her cute face.
