Ming Shu lofted her head abruptly with her third cousin's question. How did they know? What excuses did she give now? Is not like she can say that she knew the future right? Or could she?
Looking at the blank look on his cousin's face, Li Muli raises an eyebrow.
"So?"
"Hm... I-I-"
"I told her my true identity after she saved me from assassins"
Si Yifeng said completely taking the attention of Ming Shu, making her give a sigh of relief. She was really not prepared to lie or tell the truth right now.
Ming Feng looked at his friend with horror.
"When was that? How could you not tell me?"
Si Yifeng shook his hand.
"Some time ago. Don't worry, aren't we not safe now?" Si Yifeng said patting his friend's shoulder.
Although he also would like to know when did she found out his identity and why help him, it's not like it was important for him. They knew each other for years, and the amount of help that she gave him was not something he would erase just because of this. The how and why were merely to satisfy his curiosity.
Ming Peng slapped his friend's hands with disgust.
"Who is worried about you? What if my cute little sister was hurt because of you? Shu'er next time don't worry about such fiend" Ming Peng said grabbing his sister shoulders.
The mood became more relax and they started to clean their weapons and organize themselves.
"What do we do with this?" Li Muchen asked pointing to the corpses in the ground.
"Can't we just say we were attacked by assassin?"
"And let the Emperor be wary of our General? Grandpa already controls a lot of manpower with the addition of five outstanding grandsons plus a servant with great martial arts do you think that the Emperor will be at ease?"
"Muli!" Li Muzhong looked sternly at Muli. Was he crazy? The crown prince was just right there and he was badmouthing their lord. Although he agreed with his third brother point of view, this was not something that could be said discriminately.
"What? Is not like our dear crown prince will report to his daddy right?"
Si Yifeng shook his head. Although he was puzzled with Li Third Young Master's hostility, he also understood that what he said was right. There was no way, his Father would be at ease with the prowess shown by the three generations of the Li Family.
"Third Young Master is right. We can't tell anyone about the assassins"
Ming Shu who was silent until now step up.
"I have a way"
Saying that she took a sack with powder from her robes and sprinkled in the corpses.
"Climb the trees. Fast"
After ordering she quick climbed the closest tree. The others looked at each other and climbed as ordered.
It didn't took long for them to see some movements. At first they couldn't distinguish what it was, but they saw that some trees close to them were also emitting a sound. Ten seconds after applying the powder, many snakes crowded the corpses.
"My dearest and prettiest cousin of mine what in the world did you just threw at those poor people?" Li Muqing asked in trepidation. He swears he will never again mess with Ming Shu. Never.
"Just some attraction powder that I made. Pretty useful right?"
Ming Shu asked with a bright smile that asked for praise but none of the boys present could enjoy the beauty of it right now. When did the tigress became so scary? Wasn't it enough to be strong?
"You don't like it?"
Seeing his sister pitiful appearance, Ming Peng could barely summon a smile.
"Like it. You did very well"
"Hm"
Outside Ming Shu looked like a clever little girl being happy about his brother's praise, but inside she was howling at their appearance. Their scared faces are just too funny! She can even hear Muqing muttering about never annoying her again.
"You seem to be having fun"
The abrupt whisper in her ear almost made her fell. Who the hell managed to sneak on her? She put her guard on but after seeing who it was she relaxed.
"Aren't they funny?"
Si Yifeng nodded his head. Her family was really amusing. He didn't have an ounce of doubt that he could spend a day watching the Li brothers and Ming siblings interacting with each other. Each on of them was like a box of colors in his almost gray world.
"You're really funny"
Ming Shu harrumphed to his answer.
"And you're not fun at all"
"Would you prefer that I showed fear and despair like them?"
"Yes. A tearful Brother Yifeng sounds like it would be delightful to see"
"You have a really heavy taste"
"Thank you very much for your compliment, but this little girl knows that she is much less heavier than your highness"
Si Yifeng shook his head. Ming Shu didn't know if he didn't answer because he couldn't be bother or because he agreed.
"So little girl, why don't you tell me how did you find out my true identity?"
"Isn't this change of subject too abrupt?"
"Maybe"
"Sigh. After so many years by your sister's side and yours it's not difficult to find some clues"
Si Yifeng nodded as if he acquired her explanation.
"I guess so"
Ming Shu releases a sigh of relief and threw a pouch to him.
"Sprinkle this in yourself"
Saying so she jump to the tree next to theirs, where Li Muli and Li Mucheng were. She didn't want to stay close to him at all right now. Who knows if he will question her further.
After everyone applied the snake repellent that was inside the pouch, they climbed down and went further inside the forest. After hunting what they deemed to be a successful amount, the boys turned to their camp and Ming Shu went back to the villa.
Back to the camp, Li Muqing remembered something.
"I won the bet!"
Unfortunately for him, everyone pretend not hearing it and went to their tents completely ignoring the poor Li Second Master.
