Si Yifeng could feel that someone was touching him. Did the fairy took pity on him? He didn't know. He didn't had any strength left on him and could only let whoever had his hand on him could do whatever he/she wanted. As the person treated his injuries (or at least he though she was doing it), tiredness caught him and he felt himself falling sleep, even though he tried not to.
Once he woke up he could see that the sun did not completely came out. He also noticed that he was still in the same place he fallen.
'So much of a rescue- ouch'
Si Yifeng tried to get up like he normally did, but the pain that came from his abdomen reminded him of the injuries that he got in the ambush. After carefully sitting, he started to examine the treated injuries. Just as he thought. He should be hallucinating that he saw a fairy. What kind of fairy would use hemostatic medicine and gauze? It didn't matter though. Whoever saved him was his benefactor and he would do his outmost to pay him/her.
GROWL.
Well, before he could do anything for his benefactor he should first fill his belly. Just as the hunger came, also did the thirst. Seriously, where were all those attendants and dark guards when he need them. Cursing his subordinates, he began to look for food, but soon notice the parcel of dried meat and the water jar by his side. He also saw that there were probably some fruits too, but they should be eaten by the small animals that inhabit this place.
Thanking the gods for the smart and kind benefactor that helped him more than once the hidden prince started to eat as if he was starving for months. This was the scene that Ming Shu saw once she entered the little valley. A Prince that would normally eat the most fine delicacies on the most luxurious places, even when he was living as a Si, was now sitting on the ground with her outer robe covering his legs and eating the same ration that soldiers ate in their travels.
Although he still possessed a noble poise, the general scene didn't spark any majesty that one would hope to see in their Crown Prince. Burning this rare scene on her mind, Ming Shu approaches the Prince that was so weak that he couldn't notice someone approaching him. It was only when she was a few steps from him that he stopped eating and looked at her with wariness in his eyes. He put his hand at the left side of his hips where his scabbard usually was, but sensing nothing he picked the sharpest object close to him.
This all took less then a second, and when he recognized the person in front of him, all the tension that he build up, vanished. Although he was still guarded, he didn't thought that the girl in front of him, who he usually saw when he did his secret visits to the palace, could possibly hurt him.
Ming Shu could see that he took her lightly, and although it bothered her a lot, sho also wouldn't fight with him in this situation. Obviously, it would be different once he was well and still the Second Young Master. Ignorant of the vicious thoughts passing by Ming Shu's head, Yifeng gave her warm smile that would make all the Misses in the capital faint.
"It was you who saved me yesterday?"
"Nothing but my duty"
Si Yifeng became a bit stiff, but tried to cover it up.
'Does she knows?'
"Oh?"
Ming Shu felt the wariness that had gone down was up once again. Understanding that her words could be interpreted in a meaning that would endanger her she hastily explained to him.
"Since you once save me from drowning, I should do the same to you, don't you think so? Besides, as a human, I would never let a needy and worthy soul perish in front of me, if I can do something about it"
Hearing the answer Yifeng relaxed. He started to eat again, completely ignoring his benefactor, whom he sweared not long ago to do anything in his means to help. Not that it bothered Ming Shu. She was completely to this kind of temperament. The siblings were very similar in this aspect. Like cats they would snob you if you gave them to much attention. You should leave them be, and once they Miss or need you they would look for you.
After finish eating, Yifeng looked at the girl in front of him. Different from his expectations she didn't bothered him, not even once after she got here. Wasn't she curious why was he in this state or why was he here? Shouldn't girls at her age be slightly annoying, more so when they were in front of a handsome bachelor like himself?
The more he looked at her, the more puzzled he got. Most of the girls would give some type of reaction when close to him, but this girl in front of him didn't gave him none of the usual responses could be seen on the girl. Not shyness or seductiveness, if anything the girl emitted curiosity. Just as Si Second Young Master was doubting his charms, Ming Shu who began to get discomforted with the Prince's staring opened her mouth.
"Do you wish to leave here now?"
