Qin Hong continued to chat away with artifact spirit Ring until 20 minutes had passed.
The size of the spatial dimension was comparable to a planet, and the time difference in here is 1 to 10, meaning a year inside the spatial dimension is 10 years outside. A day in here is equivalent to 10 days outside, and so on and so forth.
This area is actually just a life farm, and isn't where the true spatial storage is at. Instead, the spatial storage is located in a hovering palace in the skies which is currently sealed due to his mortal status.
As for Ring itself, he/she stayed indifferent towards and only revealed necessary information.
Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain before it faded away.
"I moved your physical body into the void and encased it with a barrier." It said in a strained voice.
"Why? What's going on?" He asked in confusion.
"My appearance must've attracted some unknown monster. I had no choice but to hide your body."
An interface appeared in front of him, showing the outside world.
The crushed trees that formed a circle as a result of the golden ring were still present. However, three spherical bodies levitated around the area. Their bodies were a metallic black that gave off an eerie feeling and their size was comparable to two humans in diameter.
Above their bodies was a glowing light that flickered between red and blue consistently. With Chen's memories, he could deduce that they are police forces.
"I am still absorbing information from energy waves. Do you know what they are?" Asked Ring.
"Police forces of this local area." He said with a frown.
"What are police forces?" It asked.
"Haven't you time traveled?" Asked Hong as he looked at Ring weirdly.
"I've never time traveled this far, since the farther in time, the more energy consumed. I've mostly gone back in time as per my previous masters wishes, and have rarely gone to the future." It explained.
Qin gave Ring a basic explanation in medieval terms. He then gave a basic summary of what's going on in this current era. All of this took another half an hour, in which the police bots still hovered in place.
"Interesting. I never thought the mortals of the human race could achieve this." It said with awe and surprise.
"More importantly, why aren't they leaving?" He asked anxiously and impatiently. He is mentally tired, and would like to head back to rest. Getting caught would be game over.
"No idea, but I can't move you either." It said shaking his head.
"Move?"
"The space here has been severely bent by the humans for expansion. Any simple movements will kick you out and send you to the outside." It said with calmness.
"Can you maybe destroy them?" He asked, suddenly realizing he had just asked a stupid question.
"I'm already using my exhausted energy maintaining a barrier against the horrendous void. You think I can spare energy?" It said with disdain.
Not to mention, the entire space inside the station is monitored by humans and a powerful AI. Even if they were successful in destroying them, other forces would be alerted and would probably lock down the place before he could escape.
They waited for another half an hour before the three police bots began rising into the sky, with the lights above their head turning off. Suddenly, they turned into a flash and became a dot in the distance with a loud boom before vanishing.
Hong waited for a few more minutes out of caution before cautiously left the ring.
In the outside, the calm space suddenly rippled as Hong's physical body suddenly appeared. The ripples in space were quickly suppressed by Ring before they could go too far.
Looking around, he quickly sighed in relief before packing up. He activated his flight module at the highest speed and flew just above the canopies.
The giant metal pillar gradually came closer and closer. To his relief, no forces came after him, and he safely returned to the city, took a taxi back, and entered his hotel.
Upon sitting down, tiredness overcame his body despite being energetic. He closed his eyes for several minutes while he observed the ring in his dantian.
'Are you there?' A part of his divine sense was still in the ring.
(I am here) The voice of Ring entered his mind through the divine sense.
'Just checking' He said with relief.
He did not chat much with Ring, considering he didn't talk much aside from question and answer most of the time, unless he was intrigued.
After the chat stopped, he went to access his console.
Ten notifications were displayed, and he checked up on them.
Four out of the ten were newsletters from the Centaurus daily news. Considering that most of Galaxy 8 has been mined away and the fact that the population has been on a rapid decline, there's nothing much to see except for crimes and travel.
The next four news were from various news organizations at the home of humanity, the Milky Way Galaxy.
A lot of it is a combination of politics, science, tech, health, business, and other news.
Based on Chen's current knowledge, the Milky Way is one of the safest places of all the galaxies with Andromeda (Galaxy 2) being 2nd and the Bullet Galaxy (Galaxy 108) being 3rd.
Being the origin place of all of humanity, the Milky Way is taken care of to the extreme.
Most of the stars have been retained of their current form and have not been displaced. The only exceptions are stars that are about to explode, in which they are harvested to prevent that.
With the invention of the Calabi Engine, a near infinite supply of energy, most of the Dyson swarms in the Milky Way have been deconstructed, leaving the starry skies beautiful.
The Milky Way is the home place of humanity's economy, making the lives of almost everyone high-standard with high pay. The deconstruction of other galaxies and star systems is used to benefit the civilization as a whole, despite the gap between the rich and poor being huge.
The United Federation is the most concentrated there, holding a massive self-defense army that can destroy all life in a galaxy in one fell swoop. The self-defense weapons in the case of alien invasion can annihilate targets as far away as multiple galaxies if needed.
Not only that, but the human population (robots excluded), is 3 quindecillion, which is 3 followed by 48 zeros! With around a 100 billion planets already, this should've been around 4 tredecillion, which is 4 followed by 42 zeros. Thanks to advanced spatial technology, this number was horrible expanded!
Combining an ultra-powerhouse economy, powerful government with powerful military, and a horrifying population number, is enough to scare anybody that wants to mess with them! Not to mention the blend of robots and combination between the two!
On the Kardashev scale, humanity is a type 3.9 civilization, which is a scale he had just learned.
Just looking through the knowledge and memories of Chen's past, he couldn't help but have cold sweats and shivers. He was beginning to doubt the capabilities of the cultivation realm, which is something new for the first time in his life!
'Perhaps only that person who blocked off the cultivation realm would have a chance of defeating humanity!' His thoughts were complicated as he settled down his emotions.
The funny part is the fact that all the stuff he's seen so far, from the spaceships to the cities to the stations, is all considered backwater territory of inferior tech!
With a tired and heavy sigh, he relayed this information to Ring itself, in case it does something stupid.
The last two news were messages. The first one was a 'thank you' letter from the CEO which is his boss. The second one was a travel update, changing his schedule to tomorrow afternoon.
Suddenly, his ears twitched, as he picked up divine sense.
