The man laying right next to her was... let's just say he isn't the best. She sighed.
After many years of gritting her teeth and trying to ignore his stare which haunted her in her sleep she had had enough. Why had she thought that putting all this courage for a man was a good idea? It must have been his face, but now it's boring. The same old dark hazelnut eyes, the same old brown hair to match his eyes. She needed a change. She needed to get out of this suffocating relationship.
So that morning when she woke up next to him she slipped out of bed, ignoring the tiny splatters of blood. Grabbing a few items from the wardrobe, her phone, wallet and sunglasses she slipped out of the house.
Her freedom was just a few steps away. Why let this man anchor her down?
