"Just pop it over your face like this..." The director fitted the mask over Staci's head. It locked in place with a satisfying shk noise.
"Now... I haven't made a disguise for your torso, because it's incredibly expensive. Besides, I don't think you need it." The Director told them, "just don't take off your shirt and you should be fine."
The Director led them through the back-door. It was dark outside. The night breeze smouldered on Staci's horn-stubs.
"We do have an agent stationed on the planet who is human. He should be able to help you adapt to their culture."
The Director handed them a phone. Staci pressed the home button and watched in wonder as the screen lit up.
"It's fairly simple technology – you'll figure it out."
A spacecraft landed noiselessly beside the office.
"Great, well, here's your ride. You've got a brief with a set of directives on the ship. Just read through those and you should be right."
"Thank you," Staci said, numbly.
"No problem! Have fun on Earth!" She waved them goodbye as they boarded the ship.
