Chereads / Luciel / Chapter 3 - 16 Years Later

Chapter 3 - 16 Years Later

"Rei!" A woman shouted at the disgraceful act of her daughter at their small backyard. "My god, Rei. You're almost at your coming of age. You have to act like a lady."

"It's still 2 years away, mother. 2 years." She responded while still continuing to play with the kids. She would ran around and carry the child, completely disregarding her lady etiquettes.

"Ah how terrible. Dear, at this point no one would want to marry our daughter." She approached her husband to help her convinced their rebellious daughter.

" Who dare!? Our daughter is so lovely, even if she acts like a madwoman, someone would still want her." To no avail, Chris, her husband is in the same side as Rei.

"But dear--"

"Shush, Miranda. Let her enjoy her youth. You know that she grew up without a sibling and this is her time to experience her childhood. Let her be."

Miranda sighed, defeated. Reiney is their only daughter though they poured all of their love to her, a playmate is important for the growth of a child. She just watched quietly at Rei who's carrying two kids, her skirt is not recognizable anymore and her hair is like a birds nest.

"Fortunately, she got my beauty." Miranda smiled contentedly. Though Rei is not acting her age, some of the boys in their village would gaze at her rare beauty that seems to captivate their hearts.

Her eyelashes would flutter as she laughed, her eyes as green as the emerald seems to be shining with the daylight. Her flirtatious lips and vuloptuous body made them want to take her all for themselves.

"..!"

They quickly averted their gaze when they noticed that her father is glaring at them. Who would not be scared at the knight guarding their village!?

Unfortunately, they can't easily approached the beauty because of her father that is impregnable as the walls of the capital. His eyes would wander around every young, single man in the vicinity everytime his daughter would play outside.

The only time they can come close to her is when they would take their younger siblings home. The other spectator wished that they have a sibling who could play with the beauty.

"Lily is a lovely child, thank you for letting me play with her." Her voice made Lily's older brother sweat and forget about her.

"Ah... Uhm... Yes?" He's so captivated with her beauty that no proper words came out of his mouth.

Reiney, witnessing it, continued to tease the young boy. She held his hand and brought it to Lily. Feeling the warmth of the hand of the beauty, his face turned red in embarrassment.

"Brother, let's go. I'm hungry." Lily urged her brother to go. Dazed, her brother followed her without another word.

"Silly, why would you tease the young boy like that." Miranda muttered while brushing aside her daughter's glossy red hair.

"Because it's fun, mother." Her innocent smiles can be seen by her mother who just disregarded it as plaything. Deep inside Rei, hidden is a raging succubus who truly enjoyed teasing and playing with people.

Meanwhile in the capital, everyone is clamoring at there is a long line of maids carrying a letter with a seal in their respective houses.

Luciel, the heiress of the House of Vixon, glared down at her window. Unhappy that her free time is being interrupted by those selfish bastards.

"Please, finish collecting those letters and burn them. I wouldn't have any time reading those rubbish anyway. But don't forget to separate the letter coming from the Counts and Marquess."

"Yes, my lady." The maids scurried away and carried the order with great efficiency. They've been trained to carry the order of the lady even before she was born.

Luciel's appearance is almost identical to Rei's beauty. The only difference is their aura and elegance. Rei is from the common people thus never learned the proper etiquette, her only tutor is her mother. Luciel, at the time she started walking, she already started learning the noble's etiquette and histories of the kingdom.

Luciel gave out a completely different form from Rei.

Luciel turned her head at the sound of a quiet knock through her door. Just by those knocks, she could identify who it is.

"Come in, Sydney."

"Greetings to Lady Luciel." A blonde haired lady entered through the door and elegantly bowed.

"Oh my, Syd. Stop this nonsense." Luciel flicked her fan open and covered her small giggles. Every move she makes is like a wave in an ocean. Very natural and pleasing to the eye.

"How could i? Lady Luciel is the future star of this kingdom. Your beauty is enough to shook the world, my lady." Sydney's glib tongue continued.

"Sydney Fenrich!"

Sydney giggled and finally sat down in front of Luciel upon noticing how uncomfortable Luciel had become.

"Forgive me, Luciel. It never fails to amuse me." Sydney is known to be a loquacious and has a sweet talking mouth that even the King would blush at her words.

"What brings you here?" asked Luciel.

"I have great news for the Lady."

The red-haired woman eyes glisten in interest. Every piece of news Sydney brought to her is precious. So she anticipated what news it is.

"I heard that the prince of an empire is interested at your beauty, my lady. Your light is so bright that it reached the land at the other side of the world." Luciel's mouth is quivering in delight. Just like Rei, her beauty is unparalleled and unique. Even without her title, she's sure to climb the ladder with her beauty if used properly.

"But, my lady. Every great news has a price. That 'group' has started again."

Her gloomy face replaced the one's bright face she had. She delicately brushed her hair behind her ear. A sign to stop talking cause she's bothered.

"How many times had they tried to ruin my image? They still haven't given up. I see." A completely different tone is present in her voice. Pure malice is leaking out. Her true face is showing.

"What shall i do, my lady?" Sydney asked, clearly happy at the reaction of Luciel, as if she had already predicted it.

"Lay low, Sydney. Let them be, it will completely bite back at their own face later." She smiled. A smile that is not applicable to her saint face. It is a smile of a demon in hiding, waiting to be unleashed.
