"Uuuuuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
As all of us heard a loud roaring sound we looked around and saw a big figure. That was big monstrous existence and even though I didn't understood those people language I knew one thing very well. And that is all of us were feeling the same emotion-
'FEAR'
"Lezienụ anya na onye ọchịchị aka ike ugwu a ọkwa A nnukwu anụ kpachara anya."
Saying those words all those soldiers took out their bow and aimed at the monster. As soon as the arrow hit his body they fell down. The monster's skin was too hard for those measly arrows to work.
"Laghachi azụ, laghachi azụ. Nke ahụ bụ ihe anyị na-apụghị ịlụ ọgụ. "
But before the soldiers could move any further the monster jumped and landed near them
"Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"
'Gulp'
I subconsciously gulped after all that is something you only see in movies.
Before anyone could make a move the monster came and grabbed one of the soldiers and bit off his head.
Seeing this most of the people started to cry and fell down on their knees.
"Kwụrụ ọtọ."
But one of the old and matured soldier was shouting at the others as if he was scolding them to stand up. Hearing his words the other soldiers started to stand up and aimed their sword at the monster.
The monster didn't paid any attention and started attacking. This time he waved his hand at a great speed and two of the soldiers crashed in the mountain walls. Before the other could attack him, he made a fist and strike his fist on another soldier. Thus killing him.
"Ọ gafeela, ọ gafeela. Anyị niile anwụọla."
One of the old slave started to hold his hand in a praying position and started mumbling something. You guys remember I said humans are very big hypocritical bastards who during the time of joy totally forget about God, but during time of crisis start praying.
I started to think carefully what I can do. Truthfully when my tribe betrayed me in my previous life I started to hate them. But I cannot deny they taught me various valuable lessons.
Like one of them taught me how to do a certain breathing exercise which could calm our mind from anxiety. And that breathing exercise is helping me right now a lot. But staying calm would not save me from the crisis I am facing. I must act and make a decision.
Just as I was in my own thoughts, out of the 15 soldiers 10 of them were already dead. When suddenly I saw that one of the dead soldiers has various keys ted to his waist.
'Jackpot!'
Running towards the dead soldiers I picked up the keys and removed the handcuffs and the chain. Just as I was about to make my next move I heard the other slaves saying something to me.
"Biko zọpụta anyị."
"Arịọ m ka anyị zọpụta anyị."
"Biko wepụ aka ndị a."
"Biko a na m arịọ gị."
Someone doesn't need to be a genius to guess what they want me to do.
Seeing their desperate face I sighed and thought it is better to save them as surviving in an unknown place like this I must have more people by my side. People whom I could use as labourers and scapegoats.
I took the keys and removed their handcuffs and chains and all of the slave started looked at me with gratitude.
As soon as I turned my head I noticed that 2 of the remaining 5 soldiers are already dead. The remaining three soldiers were doing their best to survive.
Just as things were becoming desperate I noticed something.
At a distance there was a big boulder and it was on a higher platform compared to place where we all were. If the boulder fell on the monster then without a doubt it will lost I balance and fall down the mountain.
Seeing this I started to organize all my thought and waited for the right moment. Looking at the monster I thought-
'fortune favours brave. '
