Chapter 1 - The message

I don't want to be here, in a police station. Especially after what I've just been through, but the police just want to help. I need to cooperate in order for them to find out Rins murderer. "So tell us what you were doing the day, and what you were doing at Rins?" They questioned me. I sat up in my chair and started recalling what happened that day.

I was coming home from school, I was on a train waiting for my stop. 'Bzzzzz, Bzzzzz' my phone went off. Rin was texting me? 'Hey, wanna catch up over some dinner?' She typed, I replied with a 'yeah, sounds great' because we didn't get to talk with each other in a while due to all my essays happening a few weeks ago. I was about to get off because I've reached my stop until the doors closed right in my face. The breeze of the outside was closed off. 'I missed my stop!' I sigh while walking to my spot in the train. 'I'll have to get off at the next stop, and walk to Rin's place.' Was what I decided on, so I stood on the train patiently waiting for the next stop. 'COME HELP ME PLEASE!' My phone buzzed again from another text. 'I'm sorry Rin. I missed my stop but I'll get off at the next one now and come help with dinner. So just wait a little longer?' Was the last thing I sent to her until I got off the train. I pushed passed the crowd of people trying to get onto the train and I started to walk to Rins house.

I walked down a few blocks. On my way I saw a news station on in a glass window case. The reporter went on talking about crimes in the area recently. I just ignore it and walked closer and closer to Rins place. For some reason when I arrived her door was wide open. "Rin? I'm here! Why did you leave your door open?" I asked as I shout through the house, taking off my shoes and coat. I move pass other rooms in the house until I reach the kitchen door. I realised the closer I got to the kitchen the grosser a stench grew. The smell of something is here "Rin? What's this sm-" I cut myself off. There lay Rins body with marks and bruises all over her, blood smudged everywhere and some writing. 'Message Cancler' I read, looking around the horrified room. Red, I hate that colour, the colour of blood. Which also happened to be the last thing I see and remember until I was passed out.

"And now I'm here"
