"Ahem - sorry about that I'm Guardian Long Zhu. I would like to congratulate you in winning the chance to being transmigrated to the future." The man beamed at her in expectation.
Daisy stared at the man with cold black eyes, "Let me guess, I am not your organization's first choice but due to whatever reason you got stuck with sending me to wherever it is."
Long Zhu looked away from the girl and continued on, "Your past life was filled with positive karma and we have decided you are the best person to send 800 years in the future. Once again, I congratulate you."
A foolishly beaming Long Zhu faced the spirit head on and regretted it. The spirit was glaring at him with black eyes filled with cold speculation, "One of you must have sent Stefan to the future as well."
The man couldn't help himself and flinched back from the matter of fact words from the spirit. Playing deaf Long Zhu continued on to say, "I have been chosen to facilitate and assist you in preparation for your new life in the far flung future. Please be warned, in order to preserve the balance of the universe we will have to seal most of your memories in order for you to fully adapt and integrate with your new life."
Daisy titled her head to the side and queried, "Did Stefan agree to that or did you keep that tib-bit about his memories being sealed?"
Long Zhu adamantly refused to answer and just proceeded on talking, "You won't be the only one to be transported to the future. Over time we have been sending chosen souls to assist the populace of the galaxy in their troubles. You will perhaps meet up with your seniors or juniors. Although every chosen being is of positive karma and helpful personality since you each will be reborn to different worlds with different missions then there is a chance where you might have a few disagreements with the others."
The man noticed the sudden pity in the soul's eyes and braced himself. Daisy softly stated, "Stefan doesn't do disagreements, it's either all or nothing. If you will be issuing missions then that guy will do his best to get more than perfect. He also won't hesitate in aquiring his senior's and junior's assistance whether they want to 'help out' or not."
For what felt like a decade there was silence between the teenage looking spirit and an ethereal hadsome man. Shaking his head Long Zhu started on a new spiel, "As I was saying-you won't be the only transmigrated soul out there. Some of the others will be 10 years or so older than you. Most of them, will have their memories of their past lives completely sealed while a select few will have access to their full memories of old."
Daisy sighed, "Very well, I understand. I just hope that in my agreement then my descendants will be given luck and posperity in exchange for me starting over without any memories of my loved ones."
Smiling in understanding Long Zhu agreed with Daisy's requests. "Naturally for being chosen then those you have left behind will be well provided as long as they follow your path of positive karma. Now then, please put your attention to this legendary artifact."
As the words faded away, a gigantic wheel of red and gold with flickering lights appeared out of huge spatial rift. The 'artifact' bore a strong resemblance to the wheels of fortune found in some of the old circus movies and animations. Daisy curiously examined the words written on the panels and missed the look of horror on the hadsome man's face.
As Daisy slowly examined the written 'prizes' there was a slowly emerging look of befuddlement and confusion on her face. Eyebrows raised she stared in particular at a written prize of 'full set of past memories' and turned her head to Long Zhu. "When you said a select few had access to their memories of their the past lives, did they perhaps spinned for that on this artifact?"
Once again ignoring the spirit's question, Long Zhu strode forward to the artifact. Chin raised high and cheeks flushed, "Please spin the wheel of fortune for your personal cheat. You will only have one try to spin this glorious artifact."
Daisy Folker, right there and then suspected if it was possible for a soul to be scammed before being sent to another world.
