(JASMIN POV s)
"Amy!" I called out angrily as my sister passed me by like I'm some fencepost by the sidewalk. It was midnight and she'd just leisurely came home as if unbothered to be seen and be gossiped about.
"What?" She gave me a snide look.
"Where did you go? Didn't you know there are so many rumors about you spreading around?"
"Believe it or not, I didn't go to that place," she replied passively and locked herself in our shared room. Because I no longer go to work, I had to bear everyday all the burdensome behaviors of my family.
"Did you see Dexter?" I asked her behind the door.
"I didn't. Don't try to disturb me anymore!"
I felt restless since the morning I woke up and until now I couldn't sleep. Nadine and Dexter still haven't come home while Ma said she'll be going somewhere. Thank God Amy went home. I sat outside the door while I tried to ease my chest from the queasiness I am feeling.
