Chapter 8 - A Blushing Bride...

"It's tomorrow"

"Tomorrow?"

"Yes, it's going to happen tomorrow morning"

"Thank you for informing me of this and if you'll excuse me I have to have a short conversation with Leo"

"Good day, Your Highness"

As Leah walked to the other side of the carriage, she felt kind of mad that Leonidas didn't tell her that they were going to get married tomorrow.

"Leah, are you ready to walk into the palace again. Your room hasn't been touched"

"Why didn't you tell me that we are going to get married tomorrow"

"You agreed to get married to me"

"Yes, but I would have liked to know about when our wedding day was in advance"

"I just want to get married to you as soon as possible"

"I don't even have a wedding dress"

"I've already taken care of it"

"Leo, what am I going to do with you"

"Marry me"

Leonidas chuckled at Leah's speechlessness. He loved to tease her and see her face turn red when she was embarrassed. Nonetheless, he realized that she was still a little upset so he quickly came up with an idea.

Leah felt Leonidas grab her hand and pull her towards the palace. When they got near the steps, Leonidas took a turn toward the side of the palace, taking Leah along with him.

They finally stopped when they reached the stables. Leah immediately rushed towards Serenity, while Leonidas casually walked towards Storm.

"Do you want to go riding?"

"I would love to"

As Leonidas put the saddles on the horses, Leah looked around at the rest of the tables and spotted a puppy laying down on some hay.

"Leo, what is this puppy doing here?"

"If it's bothering you, I can get rid of it"

"No, it's just so cute. Does it belong to anyone?"

"It actually just wandered in here two weeks ago while you were in Alriya and I've been making sure to give it food and water"

"You don't keep in in the castle"

"That's not something that's really done here in Drastos"

"I understand. Let's ride now shall we"

"As you wish, my flower"

As they rode through the forest, they could feel the soft breeze fly by them and could smell the sweet scent of the ponderosa trees. When they reached their destination, Leah realized that they had stopped by the same cabin as last time.

"Why did you bring me here again?", Leah asked.

"There's something that I wanted to do", Leonidas responded.

"What do you mean? Wait, it's raining. Should we head back"

"That was not my plan. I wanted to fix a mistake and perhaps fulfill another one of your fantasies"

Leonidas then pulled her closer to him and placed one of his hands on her soft cheek. She then leaned in on her own and kissed him passionately. Leah didn't mind the rain as she could feel the heat radiating off Leonidas's body. It was such an interesting contrast from the cold rain so she moved closer to him until there was no space left between them.

"My flower, you better be prepared for tomorrow night because I don't think that I'll ever be able to hold back with such a beautiful woman in front of me"

"I don't think I could either with such a handsome man telling me that he loves me"

"I think I must take my leave before I discredit my promise to restrain myself but I will see you tomorrow"

Leah woke up the next morning to find a small puppy lying at the foot of her bed. She quickly realized that it had been the same one she had seen at the stable. She would have to deal with it later though because she had to get ready for the wedding.

A maid soon came into her room to dress her after she had taken a bath. The maid was holding a beautiful dress in her hands. It was a brilliant blue and sparkled like water in sunlight. It truly was a sight to be seen. It had a stunning halter neckline and flared out at the bottom elegantly. Leah appeared to have the ocean wrapped around her.

Leonidas was in the room across from Leah getting ready too. He had just put on a black royal suit. It had a little bit of blue embroidery around the collar and a long coat tail. The suit emphasized his toned muscles and complimented his sculpted jawline. He looked confident as he held a small box in his hand. It contained a diamond ring with sapphires bordering it and a white gold band. He couldn't wait to put it on Leah's finger and be able to call her his wife.

The wedding venue was absolutely beautiful. It was covered in light and dark blue flowers. There were white chairs set up around the garden that led to a canopied area. It was Drastonian tradition that there would be a grand ball after a royal wedding and it would be held in the main ballroom of the place. The ballroom was stunning. It was also covered in a wide variety of flowers and other decorations. There was also the last surprise that Leonidas was saving for Leah.

The guests had finally started arriving when Leah was making her way to the front of the palace. She was going to get married. Although she had been engaged since she was born, she was excited to get married to him. She loved him now and that was all that mattered to her. He was her world.

Leah soon left the place and made her way to the garden. She stopped at the beginning of the aisle and looked at the man waiting for her in the canopied area.

Leah then started walking down the aisle, gazing into Leonidas's eyes. He couldn't believe his eyes. Leah looked absolutely gorgeous with her beautiful blue wedding gown that mirrored the clear sky above. It was covered in diamonds and sparkled brilliantly under the sun. The guests marveled at Leah's beauty as her hair blew in the wind, further complimenting her dress.

When she got to the canopied area she stopped and turned to face Leonidas. They took a moment to stare into each other's eyes before starting to say their vows.

Before Leah could say a word, the venue was covered in smoke. She felt someone grab her and pick her up. She tried to fight back but the man who had grabbed her was stronger. He started running out of the garden and carried her into a carriage.

He had already made up an excuse to the guards that he was a guest and was allowed to park his carriage in front of the place. The guards had also not been present as they were still trying to clear up the smoke.

After she had been placed in the carriage, Leah started feeling dizzy and felt herself losing consciousness as her eyes closed lazily. There must have been some sort of gas in the carriage that caused her to pass out.

Meanwhile, in the garden, Leonidas was searching frantically through the thick smoke. When he couldn't find Leah, he yelled out loudly, startling all the guests.

"Whoever is responsible for this will pay dearly. They will pay with their life"

When Leah's eyes finally fluttered open, she squinted as her eyes adjusted to the light. As her vision started to clear up, Leah saw that she was in a room. It was elaborately decorated and had a large window on one side. Leah got up slowly and walked around the room.

When she looked out the window, she saw a very unfamiliar sight. She looked down and saw a garden. Not just any garden though. It was a royal garden, covered in a particularly wide variety of roses. Leah also realized that her room was very high up and must have been in an isolated part of the castle as she couldn't hear a thing.

She soon walked into the bathroom that was attached to the room. She then took a shower and freshened up. Next, she opened up the closet and found a vast amount of dresses. There were many different styles and colors but she chose a long, light pink gown that had a sweetheart neckline and flared out at the waist.

Leah then tried to open the door but found that it was locked. She found a book in one of the drawers in the dressers. It was about a girl stuck in a castle who learned to love her captor. She couldn't believe the audacity of whoever had locked her up. First, they left her alone and then provided her with a book to brainwash her into falling in love with him.

After she had started to read the book, she heard the door open. She tried to use the opportunity to escape but the door shut as quickly and abruptly as it had opened. Leah then saw a metal tray laying on the ground. It had food on it along with a note. She quickly finished the food as she hadn't eaten in a day. Later, when she went to open the letter, she couldn't believe what it said...

Dear Leah,

I hope you are enjoying your accommodations and I look forward to seeing you again.

Sincerely,

...
