Happy's current strength did indeed make it hard for him to be able to deal high damage, especially on unique beasts which had taken medicine to become stronger. It was very difficult for him to get rid of them this way, but he had absolutely no problem if he were to only use his movement speed and nimble movements to attract their attention and even bring them into the traps.
Forget about how nimble Phantasmal Body Movement made him to be, Petite Dragon's dodging effect in close-quarters combat was also great, and once he began practicing Tendon Changing Classic, he became much more dexterous.
