Chapter 1 - | The Game Of Gods

"Dare you!", The girl in armour shouted. Her long brown hair cascading down as she held her sword up to the neck of her trainer. Her brown eyes flared as he stood still, his back arched slightly to prevent touching the sword.

"I surrender.", He studdered as the girl of not more than twenty, lowered her platinum sword looking at him with a smile.

"How about it, Jev sir?", She asked as he finally drew in a breath of relief.

"You were fabulous, my Lady.", He said bending in front of her.

"I must leave, your father, must be waiting for my arrival.", He stated as the Princess of Orientem nodded.

Jev, the Prime Minister of Orientem and also the Princess' trainer marched out of the huge practice area, leaving the Princess alone looking at her sword with a pleased smile.

"You seem to pleased with yourself, Princess of Orientem.", The steel voice said from behind the princess as she turned with a raised brow. Her leather band with a yellow stone glistening in her right wrist.

"Army Chief, Rey.", she stated as he looked back at her with a small smile.

Reyvin Hudson was the Army Chief of Orientem and the leading warrior of the Eastern Empire Of Inferis, The Orientem. Handsome in looks, and Deadly in a War. His father had left his mother soon after he was born, leaving her mentally unstable. Why? he did not know. Only one desire burned inside the young and dynamic Rey. To avenge his mother's insanity, he knew his father was a Westerner, a man from Occidens and that's where he wished to go and show his father what he could be so that he'd regret what he had done.

"Indeed.", he replied. His black stone glistening in his leather strap on his right wrist, his muscular physique hid under the heavy armour of steel. He held his sword in his left hand.

"How about a fight?", he said pointing the sword towards her.

"Why not?!", it was within a flash of an eye that Princess Elizabeth attacked Rey who immediately stepped back.

"That was quick, but not as fast.", he said taking the sword in his right hand and started fencing with her.

"I ask both of you to stop.", The Emperor Of Orientem stated as Eliza paused immediately and so did Rey.

Rey had a thick crop of black hair combed backwards. His eyes were light brown and his age was not more than twenty much like the young princess herself.

"Your Highness.", Rey said kneeling on one leg in front of his Emperor.

"You may stand Rey. I am here to give you a very important information. The Game Of Gods begins tomorrow at the Capital Of Occidents.

"The game that shall decide on who would be the Emperor of Inferis..?", Eliza asked in shock.

"Yes, my dear. And I have chosen my candidate for this-"

"I'm sorry to interrupt your Highness but this game was prophesied to be played when Inferis, our planet, is in grave danger.", Rey said, his head still down.

"I know and the time has come. The Power of Domaubris - The Lord of Dread, increases with every passing moment.", the king said gravely.

"Nevertheless, I wish a man from Orientem to lead us into the battle and not from the Occidens. They consider us to be Barbarians! Those Westerners! But it's time to show them the who the real hero is!", the King said as an old resentment seemed to get clearer in his memory.

"And you shall me my candidate Rey. It shall be you!", he said with a smile as Rey looked up, half pleased, half distressed.
