Adam was well equipped thanks to Isvar's massive inventory. His knowledge is already vast, he might be called an Aeden's scholar or a walking library. He is confident to avoid any encounter and will probably play the fool if possible. He has Finall to play the part of being his bodyguard just in case.
The party of two started travelling North in a very dense forest. Like any other forest, it is quiet, but you can sense life everywhere. You can even hear the water streaming peacefully. The green of the leaves and the beauty of the blue sky compliment each other. This place is a paradise.
"What did you read in the library? For someone who has the looks of a warrior, you sure are bookish." Finall finally spoke.
"Well I was trying to learn about Aeden in general. Only a fool who ventures out without knowing anything will get him killed." Adam answered.
"The way I see it, you are no fool. I can fight you all day, not a single hair from your body will be harm. And I am telling you I am among the best in Isvar." Finall smiled confidently with a smugged face while complimenting Adam from their first encounter. "The way you avoided our arrows tells so much about your strength. And what I still don't understand my wind attack did not even harm you!"
Adam smiled and said, "Let's just say I was born unique, and I have this abilities to start with. But there are skills that can be taught, back on Earth many utilize techniques to beat any odds."
"Can you teach me those skills to avoid arrows from any distance?" Finall is smart enought to know that this man with him is strong and it will be an opportunity of a lifetime to learn something from him.
"Sure I can teach you."Adam smiled and said, "There is also something as good as technique that can defeat the odds. And it is simple and does not need a lot of time to trained with."
Finall paused for a moment and asked "And what is that?"
"Humans improved their weapons over time through out their history. The bow and arrow evolved to a higher form of ballistics." Adam paused for a moment then recalled the home forge back in Isvar. "In comparison to your weapons here, the quality of your weapons are perfected from it's basic form. And on top of that, it is reinforced with Aedenian runes and Archaic crystals." Adam deliberately diverted the conversation as he suddenly realized that the evolutions of arms race on Earth ended to it's own destruction.
"Let us stick to your technique, and what i am about to teach you is basically a simple one!"
"What is it then?" Finall is excited.
"There is an art form called boxing created by the humans as a close combat sport and one of it's defensive maneuvers is capable of avoiding attacks in a very close range." Adam positioned his body in a fighting stance, his left shoulder is imfront while both of his arms are guarded and his left foot is upfront. He started weaving his body. "Fire multiple arrows at me!"
Finall was just meters away, without hesitation, he fired one two three.. four arrows. Adam weaved his body, left to right and successfully avoided the first three arrows and the last was about hit him, he manage to move by slightly stepping back and weaved his body. "So close!" Finall thought to himself.
"You use rhythm my friend, timing, flexibility and a graceful footwork." Adam explained confidently. "It takes a very sharp eye and iron galls to do it. It is not perfect but it is helpful. Hmmm.. Arm guards are useful to simply deflect those arrows away from you."
Finall has no words on how Adam was able to avoid the attacks. He just smiled into agreement that he has to work on his footwork and flexibility. Even questioning himself if he even has the galls to openly stand infront of a speeding arrow.
"From the looks of it, its a simple movement of the upper body and rhythm of the lower body. It takes alot of timing and focus to succuessfully apply it in combat, much more avoid an attack from an archer." Adam then started throwing several jabs, hooks and upper cut. "I suggest use this time while traveling, improve your footwork and rhythm."
~Boxing is really an effective close combat art offensively and defensively on basic maneuvers. Among the martial arts in history, modern boxing brought out the balance between offense and defense.~
