"Oh, all kinds of, you know. Facebook, twitter, Instagram, Youtube, blogs, all sorts. I have watched more or less all the interviews you have ever appeared in and know all your likes and dislikes, at least the ones which you have told the public of."
"Yes, yes, it appears to be so." He sat up suddenly with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes, "You do realize that that makes you a kind of a stalker?"
"There is a name for this kind of stalking."
"There is?"
"Yes, it's called fan-girling."
He was thrown, "Is that a real word? Fan-girling?" Hiss light Scot accent made the word sound "girrrling" which sent shivers down her spine and her fingers on the glass stem actually fluttered. Damn it girl, get a grip! But it was very difficult to keep from fidgeting and constantly pinching herself to check if it wasn't all just a dream.
The conversation turned to general after that as the dinner progressed. He talked about his early experiences of working in theatre and his love for hiking. He also was a fitness freak, which, obviously she knew from the various blogs and tweets. And he asked a lot about her, where she lived, how it was different from here. He laughed himself silly when she told the manner in which she had quit her last job.
"So you actually told them, right to their faces, that you are quitting? Only because you were subjected to a lecture?" He asked after he had stopped laughing.
"Well, it wasn't like that." She answered, cheeks warm, "I would have quit anyway. I had already realized that I didn't want to continue what I was doing. It just happened be on the same time, that's all."
He picked up his glass and swirled the contents.
"And is this what you always wanted to do? Are you happy being a voice actor?"
"I am most passionate about it. And I always wanted to act. Admittedly, this is more of a backstage job. But once I go back, I am going to join an acting school and try to make it big in the silver screen. And somehow I feel that I can do it, you know. I don't have as illustrious career in theatre as you do, but I did do some while I was younger. And people had actually expected me to take up acting as a career. But then, other things took precedence in my life. I wanted to get a secure livelihood, so studied a lot. I was actually an accountant in a MNC."
"Wow, an accountant? Impressive."
"What's so impressive about it? Back home, almost all of our actors and actresses are highly educated. Some even have Masters. So really, it's nothing."
"But to answer your question, I am very excited about being a voice actor." She admitted, blushing a little, "I guess it's probably because I am totally new in this whole show-biz."
"You are incredibly lucky." Feanor offered, remembering his early acting days. "I remember how excited I was when I first started in the big screen. I was totally overwhelmed at my first fan event. It was crazy. There were people from everywhere, and you feel so incredibly privileged. Not saying I am not now, but that feeling was altogether different. Your first taste of publicity. There's something magical about it. After a while, though, you sort of get used to it. I mean, it still is a lot of fun and something to look forward to, but it isn't the same anymore."
Fixing his intense gaze directly onto hers, he said seriously, "So enjoy it to the fullest. And try keeping that innocence alive for as long as you can."
