Finally breaking the silence, Kaiser turned to Seraphina, his expression a mix of earnestness and vulnerability.
"Seraphina, I've been thinking about what all of this means," he began, his voice soft yet steady. "Us, I mean. I've never felt this way about anyone before, and while it's incredible, it's also a bit overwhelming, you know?"
Seraphina nodded, her eyes meeting his. "I feel the same, Kaiser. It's like stepping into unknown territory. There's so much happiness, yet so many questions. How do we navigate this... us, amidst everything else that's going on?"
Kaiser reached for her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "We'll figure it out together," he assured her. "I don't have all the answers, but what I do know is that my feelings for you are the one sure thing in all this chaos. Whatever challenges we face, I believe we can face them better together."
Seraphina's smile, warm and sincere, reflected the depth of her feelings. "I never expected to find something like this with you, Kaiser. But now that we have, I don't want to let it go. We might have to tread carefully, considering our families and the academy, but I'm willing to take those steps if it means being with you."
Their conversation continued, a delicate dance of confessions, hopes, and shared dreams.
One way or another their conversation was about families which is obviously part of the narrative since Kaiser's background is unknown and he's basically a commoner and Seraphina is part of nobility.
The couple thought about how there will be backlash from the nobles and her family especially, the Valorians. Seraphina added "The Valorians, will feel like I'm disgracing the family by being with a commoner, but Kaiser believe me… I don't share the same opinion"
"I believe you Sera… I'll start calling you Sera from now on" reassured Kaiser. Sera who just heard of her new nickname is very elated to have found someone as understanding as Kaiser.
"There's going to be a lot of people trying to plot against us, especially Malachar, who I have feeling will try something wicked like proposing marriage to my family… that might make everything more complicated since we're both ducal houses and it will be the perfect marriage for both sides."
Kaiser who just stayed silent whilst embracing her looked her in the eyes, "No matter what, I will always fight for you Sera…" said Kaiser before gently kissing Sera's shiny forehead.
Sera's hair is a cascade of shimmering golden locks that frame her face beautifully, this time it was styled in intricate braids that signify her noble status. Her eyes are a captivating shade of azure, reminiscent of the clear skies on a sunny day.
Seraphine who just been kissed suddenly was taken back and became embarrassed quickly before she started hiding inside Kaiser's muscular chest. Her heart started to beat profusely before she muttered shyly "Can I… spend the night over with you?"
"I don't want to separate from you now that you're back"
Kaiser who also missed Sera in the last couple of months was very happy to hear Sera being bold and was really appreciative of her initiation since this is an uncharted territory for the both of them.
The night ended with both of them cuddling to sleep without doing anything else but for the young couple that was the start of everything and a moment to reminisce in the future as this is the point where their love blossomed.
The next day started with Zeus and Athenia waking up the couple from their slumber, the two wolves also wanted to be part of the cuddling, so now looking from the outside Kaiser and Sera looked like young parents who were taking care of their children.
The couple spent the day together until late in the evening, Kaiser and Seraphina found themselves alone in the academy's lush gardens, a tranquil spot they both cherished. The moon cast a soft glow over the landscape, creating a serene ambiance that felt worlds away from the bustling academy life. They walked hand in hand along the cobblestone path, surrounded by the gentle rustle of leaves and the faint fragrance of night-blooming flowers.
Kaiser led Seraphina to a secluded bench by a small, shimmering pond, its surface reflecting the stars above. They sat down, and for a moment, they simply enjoyed the peacefulness of the night, the comforting presence of each other.
"Seraphina, do you remember the first time we came here?" Kaiser asked, his voice tinged with nostalgia. "We talked about the constellations, and you told me about the Valorian legacy."
Seraphina smiled, leaning her head on his shoulder. "I do. It feels like a different lifetime. But being here with you now, it's... it's like a dream."
Kaiser reached out, gently taking her hand in his. "I used to come here to find peace, to escape. But now, being here with you, it feels like I've found something much more profound. You've become my peace."
Their conversation flowed seamlessly from lighthearted banter to shared dreams and aspirations. Laughter and heartfelt words filled the air, each sentence weaving a stronger bond between them. It was a moment of pure connection, free from the outside world's expectations and pressures.
As they stood up to leave, Kaiser paused and turned to Seraphina, his eyes reflecting the moonlight. "No matter what the future holds, no matter the challenges we face, this moment, right here with you, is where I want to be. Always."
The night around them seemed to embrace their sentiment, a silent witness to the love that had blossomed in the heart of the academy's gardens.
