Feng Nan scanned his body, noticing all the small changes, including a small black lightning spark that traveled through his bloodstream. This to him was actually quite shocking. (No pun intended.)
as he hasn't cultivated long enough for his Qi to visualize in his bloodstream.
Feng Nan continued scanning his meridians, he noticed the toughness of his newfound meridians. However, time was at the essence. He couldn't waste anymore time at this grandma's home.
He stood up, and stared the the grandma.
He bowed at the grandma and proceeded to leave.
"Remember not to overwork yourself young one.. I see potential in you, you must prosper and become great. When you do, visit me once more. But for now, I have a gift for you at the exit. Go see for yourself."
The Grandma spoke this in a cheerful voice.
"Yes Senior Ruo. Thank you for your hospitality."
Feng Nan had a newfound respect for her. He truly respected her.
Feng Nan approached the exit and saw a small black box, he walked over and opened it. Within the box was a small black ring.
The Grandma spoke out once more, this time in a serious manner.
"That is called a Yin ring... It will assist you in cultivating your Yin Lightning."
Feng Nan was shocked, why was this grandma helping him so much? Nevertheless, he appreciated the help. How did the Grandma know about his lightning?
"Thank you Grandma Ruo."
The elder lady smiled, and said serenely back,
"No need to thank me, I am past my prime. I should help people of younger generations."
Feng Nan was truly touched by this event. No one had cared for him besides this grandma who didn't even know him..
He slipped the ring on and immediately felt a difference, yin energy was being pulled to him constantly.
He was shocked of this difference, he was incredibly grateful.
He forced himself to smile and walked out of the house.
It was a bright day, the dazzling sun penetrated his eyes, after all he has been asleep for the past two days.
He walked around the small village, more carefree than usual, and decided to go check on the field area where he was abruptly kicked out of awhile ago.
He walked towards the large field of grass and saw the same nobles playing the same game as if they had been there the entirety of the two days.
"Isn't that the kid we kicked out of the field? Why is he back? Does he want to die?"
A young noble spoke out in disdain, this attitude disgusted Feng Nan.
Feng Nan chose to ignore the foolish nobles whos levels were now lower than of his.
"Say, kid come over here, I want to break your legs and chuck you out."
One of the other young nobles coldly snorted out, it was clear the nobles saw him as a beggar and as overall garbage.
Feng Nan shook his head and sat down on the field, this of course, made the nobles feel disrespected. They immediately ran towards Feng Nan with ridiculous speeds and surrounded him.
Feng Nan was now surrounded by a pack of wolves essentially, but he seemed ever so tranquil. He was completely relaxed, as if he didn't care about these foolish nobles at all. This only made the nobles more and more angry as now ontop of being disrespected, they were being ignored by a beggar.
One of the nobles raised their foot to stomp on Feng Nan's leg, smirking whilst he was doing it.
The nobles couldn't care less about a stupid beggar, they killed beggars every day and so this was just a regular routine for them. However, Feng Nan was no ordinary beggar, he was the inheritor of the Lightning King.
Feng Nan responded with a lightning quick grab to the nobel youngsters leg and sent his black lightning qi through his body.
The Nobel was sent flying back, and spat a mouthful of blood.
No beggar had ever retaliated to him before, and so this shocked them. They had never even been hurt before.
The Nobels were infuriated that they were actually hurt by a beggar, they wanted revenge, however, they knew they were outclassed in this fight. They weren't stupid enough as to provoke Feng Nan even more than they already have.
"We.. We'll get you back for this!"
One of the nobels shouted, clearly distressed.
They all ran away huddled together like turtles. They were clearly all talk and no fight.
Feng Nan smiled in his heart and walked away. He was now on the true path of martial arts and cultivation.
During the fight, he also realized something, he had no fighting techniques. He had to rely off of his Qi to attack his enemies.
He looked around the field and found a patch where Yin Qi was highly condensed at, he went to the dark corner and sat down. But the ground seemed, off. It was oddly soft, as if it wasn't actually ground. He pulled at the loose grass, and surprisingly, a force hit him back. He was unable to lift the patch of grass.
He shrugged, he knew he couldn't open it as of right now, and so he decided to cultivate and become stronger for the upcoming entrance exam for now.
He sat down on the loose grass and began cultivating. Yin Qi entered his body at a insane rate from his ring and his natural affinity.
He was improving by leaps and bounds each second!
He sucked in more and more Yin Qi, until suddenly, the ground below him rumbled and broke in two! Feng Nan fell right in, the Yin Qi where he fell in was incredibly dense. It was even hard to breathe because of the insane amount of Qi the area had contained. His body took it in at a equally insane rate aswell. From afar, black swirls would be able to be seen on Feng Nan's body.
His body suddenly rumbled, the black lightning shot out of his body and formed into a tiger. A pure black tiger.
The Tiger was completely black, with small white stripes and pure black eyes. The tiger roared and began sucking the Yin Qi directly.
Feng Nan was shocked, he couldn't move. He had no clue what the hell the black tiger was, and how it was eating Yin Qi like desert.
The Tiger was also rapidly increasing in strength, but Feng Nan felt a spiritual connection to the tiger, as if the tiger was apart of him.
He smirked, realizing what this tiger was.
