There were no further updates yesterday as it all got a tad mental in the afternoon. We got back from our shopping trip about 1pm, the furniture wasn't due to arrive until 4pm so we got to painting. Due to the incident at the paint store, all the walls will be the same uniform soft stone colour.
Dad had arranged for a couple of people to pop over in the morning and paint the ceilings so I didn't have to worry about those. One of the people, Sara, was still there and offered to continue painting. She's kinda cute actually. Maybe 5'6 tall, slim but well built, cheek dimples when she smiles and short but messy hair like she just cant be bothered. She was dressed in torn jeans and a bleach stained t-shirt when we arrived. I won't deny that she is exactly the kind of woman I usually go for.
Anyway, with her help we were able to get two rooms painted before the furniture arrived. We brought it all in and placed it in the kitchen all stacked up high while the paint dried in the bedroom and lounge. The only exception was the bed frame, that had to go in the bedroom away from the walls but wasn't a problem.
The bathroom was in a fairly decent state in regards to paint but needs a thoroughly good cleaning. That ill be doing today as well as painting the kitchen. I wanted to do the cupboards in a different colour but need more paint for that so it can wait.
Sara is coming back over to help with the flat pack furniture shortly. Seems she's rather good with her hands in a variety of ways. I've offered to buy a Chinese takeaway for us both as thanks for her help, which she has accepted.

All the walls are painted and everything is where is it supposed to be. Finished unpacking and got all of the consoles and TV set up. The sound system was a little finicky but Sara ended up making mini shelves for them dotted around the room. That woman really has so many skills. The upshot is that my surround sound system does actually surround the room now instead of all bunched up around the TV like they used to be.
Sara called her favourite Chinese while I was getting the console turned on and re-attached to the internet. It boggles my mind but somehow this woman has never played assassin's creed! That had to be rectified immediately. The problem was, which game to start with. Going from the beginning is always good as you get to know the story but they're pretty old now and while not outdated, certainly have a lot less options than the more recent games.
I'm the end though, Kassandra of Sparta will always be my favourite so I went with that. I am reasonably sure that Sara is on the Sapphic spectrum somewhere, so a game where you can choose your characters sexuality should go down well.

Dinner was actually pretty damned good. Not that I expected it to be bad but not necessarily as good as the one back home. It was though, thoroughly enjoyable.
Sara and I chatted for a little bit while dinner went down, then moved to the couch to begin the Assassin's Creed Odyssey adventure.
Not surprisingly, she picked the controls up in no time. There were some parts that she struggled with, like infiltrating hostile areas, that I took over for her. We mostly spent the night swapping the controller back and forth between us and having a good laugh.
I was correct in that she thinks Kassandra is seriously bad-arse and hot as hell. Which also led to a conversation, while still gaming, where it was confirmed she does indeed love the ladies. The gaming and conversation went on until almost 2am at which point I offered for her to stay. She accepted but chose the couch as flat-pack assembling apparently doesn't count as a first date. Good to know, implies she would be interested in having dates.
