Hmm. . .should I get green tea or black? Wait, maybe chamomile? What the heck is white tea? And don't forget the yellow. Ugh. . .this is supposed to be a peaceful afternoon snack. "Malikai, what kind of tea does His Highness like?"
~~~~~~~~~~
I can't help but chuckle. Does she not know? "Kippy, just go with whatever you want. Didn't you bring a few of your practice flowers with you? You could brew those." Since he didn't tell you, he can suffer. If he declines tea she brewed herself wouldn't he seem rude? Perfect. That's what you get for having tea with my little sister without me.
"Really? I guess that is a good idea." Kippy slowly makes her way across the marble floors of the royal kitchen before opening a bag. She grabs a small glass jar filled with dry flowers. "Luckily Mari had been drying these since before we left." Although dried, the leaves still had an pearlescent look to them. As Kippy came back over to the table I had been standing near, the flowers seemed to glow as sunlight from the windows came in. I snap back to reality only to see Kippy had already brewed a small pot of tea. "Want to try some? I wanna make sure it's good but since I've never had tea other than the low quality stuff. . ."
"Of course I'll try some." I quickly take an empty cup from a nearby cabinet and fill it with the tea. Similar to it's flower, the tea shines different colors when hit by light. It almost looks as if someone had crushed a thousand pearls and diamonds into a silky liquid. I once again have to snap myself back to reality before taking a sip.
"Well. . .is it any good?" I can't help but worry. Despite myself knowing my flowers aren't poisonous, I can still remember the way the servants acted the first time I used my mana on the flowers.
Malikai finally raises his head and says, "Of course, my dear sister; it is one of the most phenomenal things I have ever had the chance to enjoy. No other tea can compare to the pure mastery you have placed before my eyes."
What did he just say!?
~~~~~~~~~~
What did I just say!? I meant to say it was good. What was that mouthful that just spout from my mouth? "I meant to say that it was incredibly adequate and I think that no living creature in existence could do better than my dearest darling." . . .what the? That isn't any better.
"Malikai, could it be that my tea did something?" I watch as Kippy fiddles with her skirt as she looks at me worriedly. How do I tell her that this tea seems to be some kind of truth serum.
