Mrs. Gutieres brought Ashley back inside the room. She made Ashley sit on a chair before once again removing the blindfold. When she opened her eyes and thought to herself that the place was like a showcase window in the mall, in front of the large glass, she knew someone could see her from the other side.
Mrs. Gutieres whispered, "As I told you, if you want to see your family again, nod your head." Ashley obeyed. Tanaga knew she was being forced, and her cooperation was out of fear.
Mrs. Gutieres tried to justify her actions to Ashley. "I'm not a bad person. If you do this and are successful, you'll be paid millions of pesos. It's not that bad, right?" The woman was smug with her hands on her hips. "Where else could you make that kind of money in a year?"
