He understood that she needed to keep her family's confidence and that, given how quickly everything had transpired, it would be hard for them to believe that she had wed someone they had never met within her first month in Japan.
"You're right, Ashley; it would be hard for your family to believe that we're married, especially with how quickly things have happened," Tanaga said in a light but serious tone.
